Teaching Plan for Unit 9 What color is this？

I.

Change Greeting

The teacher greeting with the students. T: Good morning, how are you? Ss: I’m fine,thinks. II.

Warning up exercise.

Step 1:

(1).enjoy a new color song (2).Listen and repeat the song which have learned before The first time students are just listen , the second time try to sing after it .(because the lyrics will appear on the computer screen with the song ,so the students can see the words of the colours and when they are singing they can review how to read the word.) (3).Read and spell the words The teacher show the students the words which is print with different colours. Students first must read the word, then spell the word, at last tell the meaning. (The words will appear on the computer screen after each card. And the students can check what they say is right or wrong.)

Presentation. (12 to 20 minutes)

Step1: (1).Show the student’s many pictures and ask them what colour is this. T: S1, look at this (show Ss a piture card), do you like it? S1:Yes . T: OK! Can you tell me What colour is this?

S1:Red! T: Yes. It’s red. (show Ss other pitures and ask the same question ,Ss are asked to repeat the sentence What colour is this? It’s red. Step2: Play a game (ask several students come to the the platform and stand in a line, give each student one color ,the change the students’ order. At last ,point at a student and ask the other Ss to guess What colour is this? Ss answer it with the sentence It’s…

after it ,divide Ss into two group, one group ask, the other group answer, then change.) Step3: Look some flower pictures then ask several students to answer.(check the Ss wheather they have master the

sentence pattern or not) Step4: Listenning practice Show the students a flash game. They must listen carefully and tell the teacher which colour they hear. (Because the people in the flash will keep saying the sentence “What colour is this? It’s…

after doing this, the students may very familiar with this sentence pattern.) Step5: Listen and repeat (turn to page 44, listen to target and repeat it .After it, Ss practise the dialogue with their partner. Then read it out and tescher check it.) IV.

Summary. (4 to 5 minutes)

Summary the knowledge we have learn today and piont out the main sentence pattern. V.

Homeword. (4 to 5 minutes)

Read the textbook (Unit 9) and try to use What colour is this?
