Lead-in

T: What are you doing?

Ss: We are having English class. Use body language to show the actions of playing football, drinking water, listening to music, eating bread……

Say the sentences together. We call this tense the present continuous tense.

Step II

The present continuous tense First, read some examples and understand the meanings. Then, according to the sentences, find the main structure of the present continuous tense and explain something about it.

Next, look at the screen and find the rules of the –ing form of the verbs.

How many people are there in the picture? What are they doing?

Ask and answer in pairs .

Then, complete the conversation with the verbs in brackets.

Attention the structure of the present continuous tense and the –ing form of the verbs .
