本单元的教学主题是“animals”，在本单元学习中，学生需要掌握动物类词汇：tiger, lion, panda, monkey, elephant以及这些词汇的复数形式，并掌握在“Do you like…?”句型中使用可数名词复数这一重要语法知识点；学会使用“clever, strong”等形容词来形容动物；能运用在3A中学过的句型“Look at …

They are … I like …”描述动物，并学习使用“They can … They like eating …”对动物进行更全面的描述。另外，教材中故事“Monkeys and hats”的安排，能使学生初步感知动词第三人称单数的使用方法，通过故事学习来培养学生的语篇阅读能力。

单元教学目标说明：

根据学生已具备的语言知识和语言技能，结合学生的生活常识，期望通过本单元的教学后，学生能用“Look at the … They are … They can … They like eating … I like the …”对喜欢的动物进行正确的描述。运用“Do you like …?”询问别人是否喜欢某种动物，并能用“Yes, I do./No, I don’t.”作出回应。通过儿歌，问答，表演等形式激发学生的学习兴趣；通过情境的创设与故事的学习，初步了解“sees, takes, gets”等动词的第三人称单数形式，由浅入深地完成本单元的教学任务，让孩子体会到学习成功带来的喜悦。
