Teaching procedures: I. Greeting. II. Lead-in (6’) 1.Learn an English motto. 2.Review the rules of comparative and superlative degrees of adverbs mentioned in Topic2.
III.Presentation(16’) 1.Let students summarize the rules of comparative and superlative degrees of polysyllabic adverb according to two groups sentences
2.Use the comparative and superlative degrees of polysyllabic adverb to make sentences, then let some students speak out some sentences, finish 1b. 3. Present the key points of 1a, then let students use the grammar to make up sentence. 4. Read 1a, and mark true or false. 5.Check the answers, then let students read the passage with the tape.
IV. Consolidation (8’)
1.Let students discuss“What is the correct way to eat the food?”
2.Make up dialogue with partner according to the given example.
3. Find some groups to read the dialogue.
V. Practice & Competition(10’)
Do some exercises VI. Homework 1.Read the letter in 1a aloud,try to retell it. 2.Finish Section C in your workbook. 3.Preview Section D.
