Unit 5 Feeling Excited Topic 1 You look excited. Section A Ⅰ. Teaching aims: knowledge aims: 1.Learn the new words: invite， film， smell， disappointed... 2.Learn the usage of the words about feelings, such as look，smell，feel，sound，taste... 3.The students can communicate with others about describing feelings, expressing emotions, talking about their own opinions. ①Greeting —How are you doing? —Very well, thank you. ②say thanks to others Please say thanks to your room. ③pity What a pity! ④ask for and express others’ opinions

How do the flowers smell? ⑤lead in what you want to say Guess what! ⑥describe feelings You look excited.

Skill aims: The students can communicate with others about describing feelings, expressing emotions, talking about their own opinions, and so on.

Emotional aims: The students will be glad to express their opinions, feelings and can be able to care for others. Ⅱ. Key points and difficult points: 1.

Key points: The students can use sensory verbs freely. 2. Difficult points： The usage of sensory verbs. Ⅲ. Learning strategies 1.

The teacher can encourage the students to predict what they listen by listening the materials. 2.

The teacher encourages the students to classify the words and summarize the grammar. Ⅳ. Teaching aids PPT, pictures V. Teaching procedure: Step 1: Getting students ready for learning （Greet and warm up.）

T: Good morning, everybody! Nice to see you again! Ss: Good morning, Miss Li. Nice to see you,too. T: How are you doing? Ss:Very well, thank you.

Step 2: lead-in

The teacher collect some pictures of the teachers and the students’ holiday life before class. Then show them on the screen. Talk about the pictures using the target language and lead in the topic. The students talk about the pictures.(use the function sentences: She looks excited. I feel… )

Step 3: Pre - listening

Ask the students to predict the answers to 1b. Step 4: While - listening 1.

Play the recording of 1a, and ask the students to match the three parts in 1b. 2.

Play the tape recorder again. Then finish 1c and 1d.

Step 5: Post- listening 1.

Work in group. Show some pictures of facial expressions (sad, excited, angry, disappointed, happy etc.) on the screen quickly. Encourage the students to say out the corresponding adjectives. Write down the adjectives on the Blackboard. 2.

Summarize the basic use of linking verb. 3.

Work in pair. Then finish 2 and 3. Step 6: Summary and homework 1.

Ask the students to summarize and consolidate what we have learnt in this lesson. 2.

Finish the exercises in the exercise book.

教学反思：本节课利用PPT和图片教学，学生比较感兴趣，通过游戏，动画增加课堂的趣味性，两人一组，展示对话，充分调动学生参与课堂活动，并能起到优生带后进生的作用，因本课初识主系表的结构，有些同学掌握的还不够好，在下节的教学中继续加强这方面的讲解练习，并在以后的教学中加强自己口语的练习，能更好的服务于教学。
