Story time 教学目标：1. Enable the students to master the words about food. 2. Enable the students to use “Would you like a …”/ “What about…” to give advises. 3. Set a vivid environment for the students to learn English. 教学重难点：1. Make the students can use “Would you like a …”/ “What about…” to give advises. 2. Help the students try to learn English in groups. 教学过程：

Step 1: Greetings. T: Good morning, boys and girls. Ss: Good morning, Miss Yan. T: I’m your new English teacher today. Please say “Nice to meet you!” to me. Ss: Nice to meet you! T: Nice to meet you, too. The teacher explains when we can use this sentence. Step 2: Presentation and pratice. 1.

T: I bring you a present. What is in the box? Guess! (Present a box by PPT, the students guess.) T: It’s a sweet.

Sweet, sweet, sweet. S-W-E-E-T. The students read after the teacher. Then read in groups. T: Can you spell it? Try to spell it.

Oh, sweet, sweet. Would you like a sweet? Write this sentence on the blackboard. Read after the teacher. When the students understand the sentence, the teacher teaches the answer. If you want, you can say “Yes, please.”, If you don’t want , you can say “No,

thank you.”

Practice. 2.

T：I want to have a picnic this weekend. Would you like to join me? Ss: Yes. T: Let’s go to buy some food. Show a picture of a snack bar. T: What would you like?

Then present “a hamburger”. Read this word some times. The students should have a competition: Who can read faster? Read the word to your partner. T:

Would you like a sweet?

Use the same method to teach “pie”and “cake”. 4.

T: I would like this one: “hot dog”. Show this picture. Tell the students how the name comes.

香肠的由来

德国人将香肠改良成用手就可以吃的方式，就是把香肠夹入面包中，这样既卫生又方便，所以很受欢迎。当时有一位漫画家，觉得面包中露出的香肠很像小狗的舌头。于是HOT DOG由此得名。
