一、教学目标：

1、知识目标：

1）学会单词：

happen、

fall off、bike ride、thirsty、water、watermelon、carried、bump 2）学会并运用句型：What happened to……? 2、

技能目标：向他人说明描述过去发生的意外事故，培养学生的发散思维能力分析、迁移等综合运用英语的能力

3、情感态度及价值观：激发学生学习语言的兴趣，培养合作意识与创新精神。教育学生能够正确对待和处理日常生活中发生的事故,对学生进行安全教育，培养学生的安全意识

二、教学重难点

（1）能听懂会说

what happened to your head?听懂会说happen, bump, ride, thirsty, watermelon。对句型What happened to your head?的掌握以及在生活场景中的运用。

（2）教学难点是区分单词：fall over和fall off. 三、教学过程

（一）Warm up

1.Greetings

2.Say a chant（M7U2活动四）

（二）New concepts

1、直接出示标题：What happened to your head？学习新词happen及过去式。拓展What happened to you？=What's the matter with you？

操练What happened...?句型（ppt呈现图片）

2、区分fall over和fall off（ppt图片区分）

3、What happened to Daming？Now listen and understand，then answer my questions.

①What did Sam and Daming do yesterday？（新词went for a bike ride）

②What did they buy？（新词watermelon）

③Why did they buy a watermelon？（新词thirsty）

④Who carried the watermelon？（新词carried）

⑤What happened to Sam？What happened to Daming？（read and underline the answers；新词bump）

⑥What did Sam do then？

（本着词不离句，句不离篇的原则，随文创设情境学习新词，有助于学生理解课文内容，并在此处渗透情感目标，树立学生安全意识。）
