题：Visiting Grandparents

课 时：共2课时，第1课时

授课对象：六年级学生

一、教材和学情分析

本部分设置了Wu Yifan和Robin要一起去爷爷新家看望生病的爷爷为背景，并以此为线索引出整个单元的故事，因为Wu Yifan不知道路线，需要借助Robin的GPS进行导航。

二、课时目标

1.学生能够理解对话大意；通过学习故事、情景对话复习巩固运用句型：Where is ...?It’s next to ...询问并回答地点方位；能够在情景中运用句型How can we get there?Go straight./Turn left/right at the...问路并询问去某地的路线。

2.能够听懂、理解本课的两篇对话，完成相关听说读写练习；

3.能够通过看图、识图、推测等方式发展理性思维解决问题的能力；

4.在对话交流中使学生养成用英语交流的习惯，培养良好的语音语调和语感。

三、教学重、难点

通过学习故事、情景对话复习巩固运用句型：Where is ...?It’s next to ...询问并回答地点方位；能够在情景中运用句型How can we get there?Go straight./Turn left/right at the...问路并询问去某地的路线。

教学过程

Step1、Warm up. 1.

Read the phrases . 师让学生逐个朗读behind,next to 等词组，请读得好的学生把单词贴到黑板上，滚动复习旧知，同时调动学生的积极性。

2.Play a game：”I say you do ” 复习turn left,turn right,go straight和stop. T:Excellent!Next,let’s play a game：”I say you do ”,教师示范游戏规则，If you are wrong,go to your seat. 3.Enjoy the song:How do you go to school? T:You did a good job.So I have a gift for you.Now ,let’s enjoy a song”How do you go to school?”If you can sing,you can follow it.If you can’t just

listen. Step2、Revision 1.Free talk 欣赏完歌曲后，老师问学生：How do you go to school?然后让学生问自己的朋友，以此复习其他出行方式，如by bike,by bus,on foot. 2.T：Now I know,some children go to school on foot,because their home is near the school.And some children go by car ,maybe their home is far from the school.We know there are different ways to go to school in other countries,出示U2 中的四幅图，试着让学生讲述其他上学方式。

3.T：If you want to go to a new place,but you don’t know the way,which can help you?先让学生自己说一说，然后出示compass等找路的方式。

4.Wu Yifan is

going to see a film with his friends after school.But he doesn’t know the way.And has no GPS.Let’s help him.Please look at the map.Where is the cinema? Ss：It’s next to the park./It’s near the park.

T:If I am Wu Yifan now,Can you help me?做为难状How can I get there?

Ss:First,turn left.Then go straight.

T:Thank you!Now who want to act Wu Yifan?请学生扮演Yifan ,操练这两个重点句型。

T:Next let’s do a pair work.出示范例后，Two students in pairs,you can choose a place and practise in pairs.请学生上台展示。

复习turn right ，turn left，go straight等表达问路指路的短语。

4.划出traffic rules ，T：Do you know the traffic rules? 询问学生，让他们说一说，然后呈现三个交通规则。一起读一读。

Step3、Presentation 1.

T:Look at the picture,Wu Yifan’s grandpa is ill.So Yifan is going to visit his grandparents in their new home.But he dosen’t know the way.Please guess which can help him to find the way.学生结合复习过的map,GPS,等方式来猜测方式，T：Yifan is going to visit his grandparents.He is talking to Robin. He wants to use Robin’s GPS.Look at the picture,listen and circle. 读图，说说意思，然后听录音，完成画圈，核对答案，看图完成填空练习。

再听一遍后，呈现听力原文，讲解解题的思路。

T:Yifan and Robin see a little boy on the street.

What’s the matter with him?放哭声录音，引出He is lost. 3.T：Look at the pictures and guess what they are saying.读图，完成预测。

4.听录音，完成判断，并纠错。

Step4、Consolidation 1.Read and draw the route a.出示图3，快速阅读一遍，找出起点和终点。

b.再读一遍，用找关键词的方法，画出线路图。校对答案。

2.Fill in the blanks and retell the story 完成填空，复述故事，巩固重点知识。
