教材分析

The New Year 是闽教版教材三年级第一册第八单元的内容。单元内容以The New Year为话题，以The New Year is coming相关的Let’s sing/dance/have a party等句型为重点。在本教材第一册第六单元的教学中，学生已经学习了Let’s…的句型。通过The New Year丰富的课堂活动组织教学，让学生学习向别人发出邀请一起做事和赞同别人建议，在一定的情景下使用语言，合作交流的能力，提高学生听说能力等,帮助学生把所学的语言应用到实际生活中。

学情分析

心理学研究表明：小学生的思维在很大程度上还主要是依靠直观的、具体的内容。小学生的记忆强度不大，尤其是低年级阶段。三年级学生才开始接触英语，在教学英语时，应尽可能多地利用直观

教学手段，如词卡、图卡、挂图、幻灯片、课件等。教学实践证明，越是教学手段丰富，学生的积极性就越高，学习的效果也就最明显，记忆的效果也最好。在上课时，学生也能从直观的单词卡片或实物挂图增加感性认识，有时还配上chant，调动学生和各种感觉器官，使学生迅速有效地记忆，这样才会收到良好的教学效果。

教法和学法

教法：直观教学法、多媒体辅助教学法相结合。

学法：开展小组合作，让学生在听、说、演、唱等学习活动中培养兴趣，体验学习英语的快乐。

设计理念

英语课程标准强调培养学生的综合语言运用能力，学生能用英语做事情。教师尽可能多地为学生创造在真实语境运用语言。鼓励学生在教师的指导下，通过体验、感知、体验、参与、探究和合作等方式，发现语言规律，将所学习语言在实际生活中使用。本节课由单词的学习运用，进而到句子的学习操练，再到文本的学习与运用，由简单到复杂，层层递进，最后使得文本的学习运用水到渠成。在教学过程中，形成一种新型的体验、实践、参与、交流和合作的学习方式，实现整体语言的目标，初步培养了学生听力和口语表达的运用能力。

1. Reading competition in groups.

New Year card for their parents, teachers or their friends to say “Happy New Year!” after class. 2. Know about different ways of celebration New Year in different countries by showing pictures. 3.
