Unit 4 Going Outing
第一课时Vocabulary and Target
一、教材分析:
本课时教学内容是广东人民出版社《英语》五年级下册Unit4 Going Outing 第一课时内容,本课时主要学习never, sometimes, usually, always 4个频率副词和subway, a car, a taxi, a bike等4个交通工具名称,掌握四会句型How do you go to the zoo? I usually take a bus. Do you usually take a taxi to school? No! I never take a taxi to school. 在此单元之前,我们已经在Unit 3学过How are you going to …? I am going by….等相关句型。学生对交通工具的名称有了深刻的认识,而本单元内容是学习以take来表达怎样去某地,用频率副词来表达做某事的频率度,在通过新旧句型的整合,让学生能在情景中提高语言表述能力。
二、学生分析
本课时教学对象为农村学生,年龄在11岁左右。他们学习英语已有两年多时间,积累了一定的词汇、短语、句型和语法知识,发展了较好的语言表达能力。经过前面三个单元的学习,他们掌握了相当一部分与本课时教学内容相关的词汇和句子,并能运用它们较好地组织语言,进行听说读写等方面的交流和实现语言综合运用能力的提高。
三、教学目标:
1.语言知识目标:(1)四会单词:never, sometimes, usually, always, subway, a car, a taxi,a bike,
(2)四会句型:How do you go to the zoo? I usually take a bus. Do you usually take a taxi to school? No! I never take a taxi to school.
2.语言技能目标:
掌握怎样询问和表达怎样去某地,能用频度副词表达做某事的频率。
3.学习策略目标:
学生通过与同组同学的交流讨论,共同合作。
4.情感态度目标:
教育学生外出旅游做好出行准备,提高安全意识。
5.文化意识目标:
了解世界各地的地铁的不同称法。
四、教学难点:
教学重点:4个频率副词:never, sometimes, usually, always和4个交通工具:
subway, a car, a taxi, a bike。
教学难点:用频度副词表达做某事的频率
五、教具准备:课件ppt, 单词卡片,句子卡片等。
六、教学过程
Step 1 Warm- up
Free talk: T: Hello, xxx. How are you going to school tomorrow?
S: I am going to school by bus.
T: Do you go to school by bus every day?
S: ….
T: How do you go to school every day?
S1:….
【设计意图】通过问答,让学生能更快地投入英语课堂气氛中,同时在轻松、愉快的心情下回忆与巩固已学习的词组和句子。
Step 2 Lead-in & Presentation
1. T: Some children go to school by bus. I sometimes go to school by bus. But I sometimes drive a taxi to school. I never take a subway to school.
2.出示图片,学习单词:never, sometimes, usually, always。
3.理解4个频率副词的意思,再用never, sometimes, usually, always来说句子。
如:I sometimes go to school by bus.
I often go to school by car.
I usually go to school by bike,
I never go to school by subway.
4. 导入教学subway, a car, a taxi, a bike以及短语:take a subway, take a car, take a taxi, ride a bike, drive a car.等等。
5.出示频率副词及交通工具的图片,引出句型:I usually take a bus to school. I never take a subway to school. …
6. 让学生看图说句子。
7.引出问句:How do you go to school? 引导学生回答I usually take a bus to school.
8. 让学生两人一组操练句型。
9. 师生对话, 导入Do you usually take a taxi to school? 引导学生回答:Yes, I usually take a taxi to school./ No, I never take a taxi to school.
【设计意图】词句相结合学习,让学生在语境中更好地掌握新词和句型。

Step 4 Extension
1.出示图片,运用第三人称单数来说句子.
T: Does Gogo usually take a subway to school?
Ss: No, Gogo never takes a subway to school.
T: How does Gogo go to school?
Ss: He usually takes a bus to school.
2. Pairwork
【设计意图】通过小组活动,实现师生之间,生生之间分享交流,让学生对所学四会句型的巩固运用,并能发展学生综合运用语言的能力。

4个频率副词:never, sometimes, usually, always和4种交通工具:subway, a car, a taxi, a bike。
句子:How do you go to the zoo? I usually take a bus.
How does he/she...? He/She....
Do you usually take a taxi to school? No! I never take a taxi to school.
Does he/she...? Yes./No.
Step 6 Homework
1、Copy the new words

3、同桌交流每天上学使用何种交通工具。
