I Like Spring.
Period 1 一、Teaching Aims:
1. Knowledge aims:
1) Students can listen, speak, read, and write the words and phrases : spring, summer, fall, winter, hot,cold, snow, skate, skating, in spring/ summer/ fall/ winter,
Students can listen, speak, read, and write sentences: But we have snow in winter.
2) Students can listen, speak, read

By the end of the lesson, the students should be able to: 1) Talk about the four seasons. 2) Know the weather of each season. 3) Talk about their favorite season. 3.
Focus of the lesson: 1) 学生能够运用以下句型对有关季节的内容进行问答。

2) 学生能够听、说、读、写并且能正确理解句子的含义:But we have snow in winter. 3) The pronunciation of “season”.

Step I : 1.Greeting. 2.Warm up. Listen to a season song :<< The four seasons>> 设计思路:让学生看一段歌曲视频,来引入今天有关季节的新授内容,可以让学生感知一下本课学习的内容,提高学生对这节课的学习兴趣。
Step II : Presentation.
1.
(Teacher shows a picture of seasons on the blackboard.) T: It’s a wonderful seasons. It’s getting warmer and warmer. Leaves begin to grow on the tree. It’s spring. Do you like spring? S: I like spring. T: I like spring, too. Today we’ll learn lesson 6: I like spring.
(Write the title and read.)
2. T: Look at the picture. Spring. (Write it on the BB)
S: Spell it one by one.
Ask Ss to say if he (she) likes spring: I like spring.
Then the rest say: I don't like spring. T: It’s spring. It’s warm in spring. How’s the weather in spring?
(Write “warm” on the BB)
S1: It’s warm.
(Ss spell and read it) T: I like spring. It’s warm. I like flying a kite.(T does the action)
(Write “fly a kite” on the BB) Ss: (Learn “fly a kite”)
Ask Ss to say if he/she likes flying a kite:
I like flying a kite.
Then the rest say: I don’t like flying a kite. 3T:In this season we can swim . It’s hot. What season is it?
S1: summer T: What’s the first letter with summer?
S1:s T: s is for summer. sum-mer
summer Ss: Spell it one by one . T:It’s summer . How’s the weather in summer?
S1:hot Ss:Read it together.
S1:hot hot It’s hot.
T: What can you do in summer?
S1: I can swim S2: I can eat ice-cream. 4 T:I don’t like summer.
Because It’s hot.
Look. It’s not too hot and not too cold. Leaves begin to turn yellow. Guess what season is it ?
S1:fall T: Good. But in England we call it autumn. Who can come here teach the new word.
S:f-all
fall Ss: f-all fall S:fall fall I like fall.
Ss: fall fall I like fall.
T: It’ fall.It’s not too hot and not too cold.
How’s the weather in fall?
S1: It’ cool.
5. T: We have snow in this season. We can make a snowman, Which season is it? S1: Winter. T: Look at the picture. Winter. (Write it on the BB)
Ss: Spell and read it。
T: I like winter. We have snow in winter. How’s the weather in winter? (Write “cold”
on the BB) S1: It’s cold. T: I like winter. Because I like skating.
Ask Ss say if he/she likes flying a kite.
I like skating.
Then the rest say: I don’t like skating. 6. The same to learn: summer, hot. I like …. I like doing.
fall, cool. I like ….. I like doing. 7. T :( Point to the picture of seasons) Spring, summer, fall, and winter, there are four seasons in a year.(Write “season” on the BB)
Ss: (spell and read it) 在此处要注意学生的发音,及时纠正。
8. T: I like winter. It’s cold. Which season do you like?
S1: I like.... (It’s ….)
(Write the sentences on the BB.) 9. Chant:
Season, season. Which season do you like? Spring, spring
I like spring. (“chant”说明: 将全班学生分成两组,教师要和每组学生一起拍手,并且要快速的练习,学生为了跟上节奏,必须快速的说,达到熟练。) 设计思路:新授教学内容主要是围绕“喜欢的季节——天气——在这个季节喜欢做的事”来进行的。但喜欢做的事,在这节课涉及的较少,下一课时将有一些拓展。
Step III: Practice
1. Ask and answer questions. T- S1, T- S2. Then the students practice in pairs. 2.Game: 将全班分成两大组,教师给每组计时1分钟,看哪个组练习的对话最多。
A: Which season do you like?
B: I like _____.
It’s _____. Step IV: Production
Make a dialogue in four groups:(小黑板呈现) A: Which season do you like ? B: I like spring. It’s warm. C: Which season do you like? D: I like winter. I like skating. C: I don’t like winter. It’s too cold. A: But we have snow in winter.(横线的内容,学生可以替换)Step V: Consolidation Step VI: Homework.
