学情分析：

学生已掌握运用一般过去时描述人物进行过的活动，和运用I want…表达自己想要某物，运用be going to do something 和will do something表达将要做某事。本单元话题为活动，在教学中老师要巧妙的将新知识通过迁移，创设多种情境，在读懂故事的基础上领悟故事的内涵和道理，培养学生克服困难的勇气和乐于助人的优良品质。

教学目标：

1、词汇：能听懂、会说、认读新单词dancing room, move…with the music, put arms out, step on one’s foot。

2、句型：能在情境中正确、灵活地运用want to do something表达自己的愿望。

3、能完整地阅读和理解课文A部分故事。

4、能在理解故事的基础上领悟故事的内涵和道理；培养学生克服困难的勇气和乐于助人的优良品质。

5、能在表格的提示下口头复述故事。

教学重点难点：

重点：调动学生思维，理解文本，并挖掘出文本的内涵。

难点：学生用英文说出自己克服困难的某次经历。

教学准备：用于教授单词的卡片，图片，多媒体课件等。

教学过程设计和安排：

Step 1 Warming up & Lead-in 1、师生问候。

2、唱英语歌曲What are you doing?

Step 2 Pre-reading 1、What’s your hobby？ I like doing something. (激活已知图式，doing sth.为本节课做铺垫) Sunshine likes dancing. But I can’t dance very well. (为学习本故事打下基础，并邀请擅长舞蹈的同学教几个舞蹈动作) 2、Teacher asks：How to dance？

用PPT呈现图片及短语listen to the music, put your arms out, stand on one foot, move your hands and legs.并简单操练。

3、Look at the picture: Who are they? What was Lingling doing? Lingling was dancing. Can Lingling dance very well? (学生自由表达想法用已有的词汇及学习过的句型) What did Anne do? Anne watched Lingling. What was Anne thinking? (发散思维，让学生用英语表达想法，培养学生的综合语言运用能力) Step 3 While-reading

1、Listen to the mp3 and find out what happened. (邀请学生表达，并呈现答案：Anne wanted to dance like Lingling.) 2、解释want to do something.并用句型表达自己想要做某事

(邀请学生表达，老师先给出示范：I want to travel around the world.) 3、理解How did Lingling teach Anne? 4、提问：Can Anne dance very well? Why? No. She stepped on Lingling’s foot.(用动作解释step on) 5、Work: Read the story and finish the form. 理清time, place, characters, reason, how to dance, result

6、思考：Do you think Anne can dance well at last? Why? With Lingling’s help, Anne can dance very well. Anne will not give up. Step 4 Post-reading 1、Follow the video. 2、Act out the story. 3、A video: If you want to do something, just keep doing and never say never.(情感升华，引导学生坚持自己的梦想，不要放弃。)
