本节课主要内容是More Practice，课文所给教学材料实际上是Reading A相关教学内容的延续，主人公Sun Fei站在旁观者的角度上复述了Reading A中所提及的火灾事件。本课从复习Reading A相关知识着手，训练学生在听取事件过程中，捕捉基础信息点的能力以及如何在讲述事件中，利用四个W（who, what, when, where）和一个H（how）组织事件的语言应用能力。

学情分析：

郊区学生在读、写的方面有一定基础，基本能够做到把握要点去读写；但在听说方面容易忽略对相关信息点的把握和描述，造成要点的遗失。
