Teaching Plan of Unit 8 Writing –My favourite hobby

Time: June 5th, 2013 Teacher: 吴木安

Teaching Aims: 1. Ss can write some useful expressions about hobby. 2. Ss can use some sentences, such as My hobby is…and I like\ love \ enjoy… to express their hobbies. 3. Ss can write a composition about one’s favourite hobby.

Teaching Difficulties: 1. Ss can write a composition about one’s hobby.

Teaching Aids: Multi-media assisted computer

Teaching Procedure:

Step 1 Warming-up Check the answers of before-class exercise: Please write down the English names of the following hobbies

Step 2 Pre-writing

a. Oral practice:” What’s your hobby? My hobby is…”

b. Learn some ways of expressing one’s hobby. c. Interview: Work in groups and interview your partners about their hobbies, and then fill in the table.

d. Pair work: Ss make a conversation using the questions listed in the Interview.

Step 3 While-writing

Teamwork: Write a composition about one’s favourite hobby.

Step 4 Post-writing

Check some groups’ compositions in class.

Step 5 Summary

Step 6 Homework
