Unit 5 Topic 2 I’m feeling better now. Section A Step1 Greeting students Step2 Revision Review the sentences “what’s wrong?/what’s up?/what’s the matter?”then lead in the new sentences “anything wrong?/What seems to be the problem?”, after that let students use the new sentences to make conversation. For example, T: How are you feeling today? S:I feel sad. T:Anything wrong?/ What seems to be the problem? S:I have a headache. Step3 Pre-listening

Teacher teaches new words and phrases by showing some pictures,then ask questions according to the pictures. For example T:Why does the girl feel lonely? S:Because she has no friends. T:Why does the boy get angry? S:Because his pen is lost. Summarize the grammar “adverbial clauses of reason”

Play 1a and finish the table of 1b. (2)

Underline the key points. (3)

Pair work: make conversation based on 1a and 1b. Step 4 post-listening Finish the exercise of 3,and check the answer. Step5 Homework Preview the Section B.
