这篇课文选自湘少版六年级下册第四单元D部分的阅读材料，主题是“植树、环保”。当下，仍有一些唯利是图的人乱砍伐树木，造成水土流失，土地沙漠化和全球变暖等严重的后果。这个题材十分接近我们的生活，我们的环境遭到了严重的破坏，我们不仅要从自己做起，而且强化学生爱护树木，保护环境的意识。这篇文章可以分3大块，第一部分是人类砍树的原因，第二部分是过渡砍伐树木后气温变暖，最后一部分是我们应该做些什么。所以我在设计这一课的时候就以课本中的“Why do people cut down trees?”和“What can we do?”两个问题为主线来设计。

三、教学过程描述

Step1 Warming---up

1、Greetings 2、Lead in 灯片出示50年前与50年后的环境对比图，播放相应视频，配背景音乐。

T:This is a picture of the environment 50 years ago.This is a picture of the environment 50 years later.Let’s see what happened to the environment.(播放视频) T:50 years ago,the sky was blue.We could see green grass,many trees and beautiful flowers.We could also see many butterflies.Later,trees disappeared.Trees become rare.So we should protect our earth!What should we do to protect our earth?

学生根据出示的图片复习句型：

We shouldn’t...(waste water/litter/kill wild animals)

We should...（use bikes instead of cars/keep the rivers clean/keep the air clean and fresh/plant more trees)

T: Planting trees is good for us.

Trees can...（ keep us cool/keep the air clean/make the place beautiful) 3、Rules：

Miss Yu brings you some beautiful trees today. Today you are environmental protectors. You have some tasks to finish. You can get my trees by finishing the tasks and plant trees on our earth.(拼读法教授earth，开火车操练earth) Let’s see which group can get more trees. You’re G1.You’re G2.You’re G3.

Step2 Pre-reading

T：Look！

S: People cut down trees!板书并带读cut down词组

T：What do people do ?Please answer me group by group. 学生分组操练“People cut down trees.”

学生自由发言,预测课文

Step3 While reading T：Maybe because...Maybe because... Now,Look! There are 3 positions for you:the researcher“环保调查员”、the commentator“环保评论员”、and the ambassador“环保大使”.Now let’s see who can be researchers. 1. Listen and learn the passage “争当环保调查员”

Please listen and answer：Why do people cut down trees？Please underline the answer.（整体听一遍，听完给学生1分钟时间在文中画出答案）

（1） T:Why do people cut down trees？ ①S：Because we want more houses,roads and buildings. T:Yes. You are an excellent researcher.You can get two trees. （板书并带读，指导长句朗读Because we want more houses,roads and buildings.）

T:Why we need more houses and buildings? Ss:We want more houses because there are more people.(图片：房屋多、人口多) T：Do you think it’s good for us? T：No, it’s not good for us. So do you agree? T: I don’t agree,either.在PPT上画×表示不同意此行为。

②T:We want more roads(图片).People cut down trees to make more roads. T:Why we need more roads? Ss:There are more and more roads(图片) because there are more and more cars(图片). T：Do you think it’s good for us? T：No, it’s not good for us. So do you agree? T: I don’t agree,either.在PPT上画×表示不同意此行为。 T:So why do people cut down trees？(师指着板书问全体学生) Ss: Because we want more houses, roads and buildings. （2）T: My excellent researchers! Why do people cut down trees？Can you find the other reason in the passage?（给学生1分钟时间读课文找答案）

S：Farmers also need more land to grow rice and vegetables. T:Yes. You are really excellent.（板书并带读，指导长句朗读Because farmers need more land to grow rice and vegetables.）

T: Why farmers need more land to grow rice and vegetables? Ss:Because people need to eat food.(图片提示) T: Who’s he? Ss:He’s a farmer(图片). T: What is it? Ss:It’s land(图片). T：Farmers also need more land to grow rice and vegetables.Do you think it’s good for us? T：No, it’s not good for us. So do you agree? T: I don’t agree,either.在PPT上画×表示不同意此行为。

(3)争当环保调查员

四人一组展开调查，一人当调查员，采访另外三人。

A: Why do people cut down trees? B: Because they want more houses and buildings.

C: Because they want more roads. D: Farmers also need more land to grow rice and vegetables.

2、Read and find (1)T: People cut down more and more trees. What happened to the earth? What’s changing？（教授changing，提醒学生注意a的读音，大小声操练）Let’s see who can be an excellent commentator? S:The weather is changing.It’s getting hotter. （师板书，示范严肃评论的语气；单个操练) T:Now,who can be the excellent commentator?(PPT展示“争当环保评论员”活动——请用恰当的语气评论人们的乱砍滥伐行为：The weather is changing.It’s getting hotter.) （2）举一反三：

The weather is changing.（引导学生读出划线部分）

It’s getting hotter and hotter. It’s getting drier and drier. The land is getting smaller and smaller.

3、Read and answer 灯片出示环境脏乱差、地球求救的图片

T: The earth is crying. What can we do? S: We need to plant more trees.（生回答，师板书）

操练：问答接龙——G1问，G2答；G2问，G3答...

4、Read and underline T: Why should we plant more trees? (Can you say more about it ?) S: Trees help to .../Trees can... T: So planting trees is good for us. Let’s plant more trees to make the Earth clean and green. 师指导长句朗读

活动：争当环保大使。每组派一名环保大使带本组组员呼吁“Let’s...”比一比哪组是最佳环保大使。

5、学生有感情地齐读全文。
