Stage 1 Lead – in

1. Greet and warm-up.

Stage 2 Preparation

1. Show a video of Fu Yuanhui. Then complete the sentence: Miss Fu feels ________ when she _________.

2. Free Talk: What moods do we have?

(1) We have some good moods; (2) We also have some bad moods.

3. Brainstorm: What can affect our moods?

Stage 3 Construction

1. Watch a video: My student’s trouble.

2. Group work: Trouble Box.

(1) Write down the troubles we have on notes, and then put them into the trouble box.

(2) Each group pick up the trouble notes randomly. (3) Discuss and give some suggestions in groups. 3. Read Wangyuan’s blog (the passage from the book).

(1) Ask some students to read the passage.

(2) Analyze the structure with students.

(3) Talk about how to make our language richer.

Free talk and brainstorm incent students to connect the factors with the topic, which can widen their ideas and thoughts.

Put the students into a situation, to understand the tasks thoroughly and handle the key sentences with full practices. Sharing the feelings with others can help them accumulate the material before writing and enhance the friendship among classmates.

Practice after theory and structure can help students to absorb what they have already learn in this class, and moreover, can react the problems and shortcomings on them.
