Teaching aims and demands: Knowledge aims: 1．Learn and master the new words. 2．Learn and master the usage of the Adverbial Clauses of Condition. 3．Learn to express the advantages of cycling. Skill aims: 1．Listen and know some information about the traffic safety ,then complete the passage or conversation. 2．Learn to express the advantages of cycling. 3．Learn and understand something about the traffic safety and get some useful information from it. 4．Make some simple traffic rules in English. Emotional aims: 1、Learn to obey the traffic rules ，keep us safe and protect our environment. 2、The key points and difficult points Key points: 1．Talk about the advantage of cycling .

2．Master the usage of the Adverbial Clause of condition. Difficult points: Write an article about the traffic accident. Teaching procedures: Step1. Introduction 1. Greet the students and get them ready for learning. 2. The teacher asks the students to read the next poem. Pay attention to the pronunciation of /l/、/k/. Little kitty laps milk, Lap, lap, lap! Learn the new words with the teacher and then read them together. 2. Students watch the flash and underline the new words in 1a.

3. Kangkang, Michael, Jane and Darren also like riding bikes to school. Now let's listen to the dialog in 1a and guess: what are they talking about? 4. Students check the guess. 5. Students read the conversation in 5 minutes and understand the general ideas. 6. Students listen to the recording and mark T or F. 7. Students check the answers. Step3. Consolidation 1.

Students read the conversation after the recording sentence. 2. Students try to follow the speed, paying attention to the pronunciation and intonation. 3. The teacher asks the students to learn in groups to find out the difficult points in the conversation. At last let them sum up the main points of the conversation. 4.
