一、教材分析：

本教材选自PEP《小学英语》五年级下册Unit 3 My birthday，本单元的话题是对生日时间的描述，与学生的日常生活联系紧密，比较容易调动起学生的表达兴趣。P30应为本单元第五课时的内容，教材内容要求学生能归纳并应用句型When is your birthday?/ My birthday is in…/ …’s birthday is in…来简单谈论自己或家人的生日时间，同时读懂并灵活应用Let’s talk的对话内容。可以说本课时学习内容容量较大，也极其重要，它要为本单元以后各课时的继续学习做好十分重要的语言准备。根据《英语课程标准》中“结合实际教学需要，创造性地使用教材”的建议，我将对话内容做了如下的设计：首先，将全文作为一个视听材料让学生去感知体会，理解对话大意；之后，再作为一个朗读载体引导学生在听音跟读、齐读的过程中去自主观察归纳，结合应用情境学习每个句子的具体用法，发现Uncle Bill, Aunt Mary, Cousin Alice等表达与汉语有什么区别；最后，将对话设计为一个阅读材料，自读后完成John 的家庭成员生日图表。这样就让本课教材内容自然成为了让学生循序渐进地学习应用词、句、篇，进而发展语言综合应用能力的载体工具，力求让学生在真实的情景和多样性的活动中体会应用新知。

二、学情分析：

1、学生共性：

本课教授对象为小学五年级学生。他们已初具学习英语的经验，对英语学习有较强的兴趣和求知欲，爱说，爱玩，善于模仿，直观形象记忆能力比较强，我要充分利用学生的这些特点去精心做课堂设计，力争以合理的情景创设和任务设计调动他们的各种感官，引导学生合作交流，自主学习，在听、说、读、写、应用的各个环节中体验语言快乐、收获成功感受。

2、知识结构：

学生在本册书第二单元及本单元Part A中已经学过了十二个月份的单词以及最喜欢的季节，本单元的话题、内容有相关性，所以一定要充分应用这些已有的知识储备，力争做到“温故而知新”。但五年级学生毕竟接触英语的时间只有两年多，语言基础及学习能力都比较有限。所以，教师需要帮助学生做好新旧知识的融会贯通，引导学生以合作学习的方式配合

完成教师创设的各项语言练习任务。

三、教学理念：

《英语课程标准》提倡采用既强调语言学习过程又有利于提高学生学习成效的语言教学途径和方法。要求教师在教学中要根据学生的实际语言基础和学习发展的需要，从他们的经验和已有知识出发，选择恰当有效的教学方式，尽可能多地为学生创造最大化的学习机会。引导学生在尽量真实的语境中，通过体验、实践、参与、探究和合作等方式，发现语言规律，逐步掌握语言知识和技能，让学生真正成为学习的主人。《课标》指出：“学生是学习的主体，教师是学习的组织者、引导者与合作者。”

根据新课标的要求，结合小学生学习兴趣浓厚、基础弱的实际情况，在设计这节课时，我主要遵循的教学理念是：发挥学生的主体地位，结合真实语境，利用游戏、活动等多种形式充分调动他们的各种感官，让他们经历听、说、读、写、应用的全过程。

四、教学目标：

1、知识与技能：

（1）能够朗读理解Read and write 部分的对话并完成相关练习。

（2）能自主归纳知识点并结合具体情境完成应用任务。

2、过程与方法：

（1）通过生动形象的多媒体课件感知课文对话，有助于理解对话的内容并进一步感知重点句型的适用场景。

（2）通过多次合作学习，学生明确自己的分工和学习任务，从而配合协作，完成语言交际活动。

3、情感态度与价值观：关爱家人，从生日的问候做起。

4、教学重、难点：

重点：能够朗读理解Read and write 部分的对话并完成相关练习。

难点：能自主归纳知识点并结合具体情境完成应用任务。
