一、教材分析

本单元的话题是weather。本次教学是本单元的第五课时，学生已在A部分学习了4个关于天气的单词：warm、hot、cool、cold以及会用句型“Good morning. This is the weather report. It’s warm in Beijing today.”简单地描述天气，本课时是继续学习表示天气状况的五个单词:rainy、snowy、windy、sunny、cloudy，并能运用新句型对天气情况进行询问和描述。

二、学情分析

本课教学对象是小学四年级学生。此阶段的学生已经学习了一年多的英语，拥有一定的英语基础，再加上前面所学的有关气候的形容词及句型What’s the weather like today？It’s warm in Beijing today. 学生能用简单的英语与同伴进行交流。

三、教学目标

1、语言技能目标

1）能熟练询问或描述天气情况，如：What’s the weather like in Sydney? It’s hot and sunny. Today it’s hot and sunny in Sydney.

2) 能在语境中正确运用单词描述天气状况。

2、语言知识目标

1) 能听、说、认读五个描述天气的单词:rainy、snowy、windy、sunny、cloudy。

2) 能在语境中理解world, Sydney, London, Moscow, Singapore的意思并正确发音。

3、情感态度目标

培养学生的爱国情怀和自信心，学会与他人交流、合作学习。

4、学习策略目标

注重小组合作学习，培养学生相互沟通和交流的能力。

5、文化意识目标

了解西方人谈论天气的习惯，关心日常天气变化，适时提醒家人朋友增减衣物。

四、教学重难点

1、教学重点：使学生熟练掌握五个描述天气的单词：rainy, snowy, cloudy, sunny, windy。

2、教学难点：在语境中正确运用rainy, snowy, cloudy, sunny, windy这五个单词描述天气状况，以及单词Singapore的发音。

五、教学策略

1.本节课主要采用情景教学法，以Doraemon带领大家环游世界为主线，将本课的语言知识贯穿其中，让学生在真实的情景中感知、体验并运用所学知识进行交流。

2.在教学中主要通过“滚雪球”、“看图连线”、“比比谁更快”、“少了什么?”等教学活动，让学生在游戏中感知巩固所学的知识。

3.课前准备多媒体PowerPoint课件，教学卡片等。

六、教学过程

Step 1 Warm-up 1. Greetings. 2. Let’s chant. 3. Oral practice. T: What’s the weather like in Harbin/Hong Kong/Lahsa/Beijing? S: It’s cold/hot/cool/warm. T: How about Shantou? Is it cold today? S: No, it isn’t. T: What’s the weather like in Shantou today? S: It’s warm. Step 2 Presentation 1. Create the storyline: Now let me introduce a friend to you. This is Doraemon. Doraemon has a time machine. Today he will take us to travel around the world. Are you ready? Let’s go. 2. Watch the video of London. Then show the pictures of the London Eye, Tower Bridge and Big Ben. Tell something about London. London is the capital of the UK. Ask students to listen and guess:

What’s the weather like in London?

Teach the word “rainy”. 3. Watch the video of Moscow. Show a picture of Moscow and ask students to answer the questions:

Is it rainy in Moscow?

What’s the weather like in Moscow?

Teach the word “snowy”.

4. Watch the video of Beijing. Then show the pictures of the Summer Palace, the Great Wall and Tian An Men. Tell something about Beijing. Beijing is the capital of China. Ask students to listen and guess:

What’s the weather like in Beijing? Teach the word “windy”. 5. Task 1: Roll a snowball. Group 1: warm

Group 2: warm, snowy

Group 3: warm, snowy, …

6. Watch the video of Singapore. Point at Merlion and tell students that Merlion is the symbol of Singapore. Ask students to look at the picture and answer the questions: Is it cold in Singapore?

What’s the weather like in Singapore?

Teach the word “cloudy”. 7. Task 2: Look and match. Match the words with the pictures. 8. Watch the video of Sydney. Ask students to answer the question：

What’s the weather like in Sydney? Teach the word “sunny”.

9. Do a survey: Which city do you like? And then find out which city is the students’ favourite.

Ss: I like Beijing.

T: We all like Beijing, because we are Chinese. 10. Listen to the video and repeat.

Read the text again. Step 3 Practice 1. Game 1: Show the cards quickly. Listen to the teacher and show the cards quickly. 2. Game 2: What’s missing？

Look and remember the words. Find out what is missing, then stand up and say it quickly. 3. Look at the picture and ask and answer.

教学反思

本课选自PEP Book4 Unit 3 Weather的第五个课时B Let’s learn，主要采用情景教学法，以Doraemon带领大家环游世界为主线，将本课的语言知识贯穿其中，让学生在真实的情景中感知、体验并运用所学知识进行交流。本节课的教学围绕“What’s the weather like in …? It’s ….”这一主题展开，从词汇教学入手，再进行句型问答，达到词不离句的效果，层层递进，由简到繁，起到了较好的效果。教学思路清晰，无论是知识的创编，还是游戏的设计，都尽可能吸引学生、激发学生的学习兴趣，让学生积极参与到课堂中来。为了帮助学生构建和发展认知结构，设计了形式多样的英语教学活动，如：“滚雪球”、“看图连线”、“比比谁更快”、“少了什么?”等，让学生在玩中学，

学中用，充分让学生主动参与、体验感悟、游戏巩固，尽量帮助学生树立学习英语的自信心，提高了课堂实效，培养了学生的学习兴趣。

在Do a survey环节调查学生们喜欢哪一个城市，学生们的答案都是: I like Beijing. 老师在此进行总结：We all like Beijing, because we are Chinese. 适时对学生们进行爱国主义教育，培养他们的爱国情怀。本节课的教学内容都是围绕天气，所以在教学中也进行西方文化知识的渗透，让学生了解到西方人特别是英国人日常聊天谈论的话题都是关于天气，而且引导学生平时多关心天气的变化，适时提醒家人朋友增减衣物。在本节课的教学过程中，还是存在一些不足，例如：在教学词汇时运用Phonics教学的强度不大，应该让学生们多运用Phonics来拼读单词；让学生操练朗读单词时比较单一，如果运用句子来操练效果会更好。

在今后的教学中，本人会结合课堂教学情况，反思自己的教学设计，借鉴别人的成功经验，不断改进教学方法。作为英语教师，不仅要向学生传授语言知识并使他们掌握语言技能，而且还要重视培养和保持学生学习英语的兴趣和热情。因此只有不断优化课堂教学结构，积极地营造轻松、有趣、和谐的教学氛围，才能达到事半功倍的教育教学效果。
