Unit 6 What time is it?

一、教学目标：

1、通过和学生谈话，交流与互动，了解如何用英语谈论时间，激发学生学习英语并且乐于运用英语的兴趣。

2、通过呈现Liu Tao一天的生活情景，引导学生能够掌握单词eleven, twelve, o’clock, wake up, breakfast, dinner, bed，还要引导学生学会并灵活运用“What time is it?”“It’s ... o’clock.”“It’s time for ...”等语用结构来谈论时间，提升学生语言交际能力。

3、通过看图、看动画、听录音和阅读等方式进行多种技能的训练，使学生在思维导图的引导下，在语言交流的运用中，整体感知文本内容，凸显文本育人价值，促使学生积极应用语言结构进行拓展内化，并提升学生语言输出的能力。

4、希望学生能够意识到时间的重要性，时间就是生命，要珍惜时间！

四、教学过程：

Step 1. Warming up 1. Say a rhyme.

2. Play a game. When you see the number, say it loudly. When you see a panda, say “lovely”.

Step 2. Pre-reading 1.Can you count from one? One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight nine, ten, eleven… (Teach: eleven.)…and twelve. (Teach: twelve.)

2.Look, it’s a clock. Teach: clock.

Say something about the clock. It can tell the time. Teach: time.(出示课题）

3.T: What time is it? （引导）S: It’s nine. Teach: o’clock--It’s nine o’clock.

4.Teach: What time is it?

What time is it?

It’s ... o’clock.

T:We do different things at different times.

Step 3. While-reading 1.

It is in the morning. Liu Tao is still sleeping. Let’s watch cartoon and remember the times. 2.Learn the picture one by one 1) T:Let’s look at Picture1. What time is it?Oh, it’s seven o’clock. But Liu Tao is still sleeping. What does his mum say? Teach: wake up. (师生表演叫醒刘涛）
