教材分析 本单元主要让学生学会运用句型“Trees can…”描述植树对我们的益处。运用“I will…”“We should…”表述如何爱护树木，保护环境。

学情分析 学生在四，五年级学习过句型“I will…”“We should…”。

教学目标 1. Be able to master the words & phrases: keep，make,place, Tree Planting Day,plant trees, keep us cool,keep the air clean, make the place beautiful.

2.Enable the Ss to listen, read, say and write the new words

3.Enable the Ss to be familiar with the sentence pattern: We should.../We can...

教学重、难点 1. Be able to master the words: keep our body clean,eat healthy food,feel happy,do exercise every day, take care of,jog.

Step 1 Happy warming-up

1. Greeting.

2. Free talk.

(1)What’s the weather like today?

(2)What’s the season now?

Step 2 Happy presentation

1.(出示两张风景图，一张图片为树木成荫，另一张为工厂林立，没有树木)

T:What can you see in Picture 1/Picture 2? Ss: I can see…

T: Which picture do you like? Why?

Ss: I like Picture 1.The air is clean in Picture1. There are lots of trees in Picture 1.

T :Trees can keep the air clean.

Write “keep the air clean” on the blackboard, the Ss read after the teacher.

2. Show a picture : eat healthy food.

T:Look,what does he eat?

Ss:fish/vegetables,bread,milk,rice,apple,pear,orange…

T: Yes, these food is healthy. We should eat healthy food. (Write “eat healthy food” on the blackboard, the Ss read after the teacher.)

3. Show a picture : keep us cool

T:Trees are very important for us. What can trees do for us? When summer is coming, we can read a book under the tree,Yes?

Ss: Trees can keep us cool.

Write “keep us cool” on the blackboard, the Ss read after the teacher.

4. T draws a road on the blackboard.

T:sIs this place beautiful? Ss: No, it isn’t.

T draws some trees beside the road.

T: Is this place beautiful now? Ss: Yes, it is.

T:So trees can make the place beautiful.

Write “make the place beautiful” on the blackboard, the Ss read after the teacher.

5.Learn : plant trees.

Drill.(1) Open the books at Page 18, listen to the tape and read after it.

(2)T shows the pictures quickly and Ss say the words together.

1. Listen to the tape and repeat .

Write the words on the exercise books. Pay special attention their writings.

2. Ss read together.

3.Play a game: 句子接龙。

Clean- keep the air clean-Trees can keep the air clean.

Let the Ss talk about what trees can do for us.
