Teaching aims:
1. Be able to understand and say the new words “ raincoat , thick , thin , umbrella , jacket , clothes”.
2. Be able to understand the new sentences “Which one do you want, the … one or the … one ?” and answer “The … one , please . ”
Key and difficult points:
1. Be able to pronounce the new word “thick, thin” correctly.
2.Be able to understand and use the new sentences. Teaching aids: Word cards , CAI etc..
Teaching procedures: Step 1 Warm-up 1. Greetings.
2. Sing a song. “Rain,rain,go away.”
Step 2 Presentation and drill 1. 反义词对对碰
short ---long
big---small
new---old
tall--short hot--cold
black---white 2.Teach new words: raincoat T uses picture to teach “raincoat” T : What’s this ? Ss : ….(雨衣) T : This is a raincoat . Drill the word with different ways .
3.Teach and read new words and phrases: thick , thin T : This raincoat is thick , the thick raincoat , the thick one .This raincoat is thin , the thin raincoat , the thin one .

4.Drill the sentences with “ thick, thin ” . ---Which one do you want, the thick one or the thin one ? The thick one, please.
5.Using the same ways to teach other words: umbrella, jacket, clothes , old .
Step 3 Practice
Lingling and her mother come to my shop now. Look at the video of PartA and answer the questions: 1.Lingling’s raincoat is ____ and _____. 2. What colour is her raincoat? 3. How much is it?
Step 4 Consolidation. 1.
Make the dialogue. A: Can I help you? B: I’d like .....
. A: Which one do you want, the ...one
or the ...one? B: I want the... one.
How much is it? A: It’
s ... yuan. B: Can I have it,please? A: Sure. 2.
Summary. Step5 Homework.
1.Read Part A and B. 2.Copy the new words.
