-Unit One How can I get there Story time
Teaching Aims:
Understand the story and know how to ask and show the way.
Know the famous places(London Eye, the Thames) in London.
Teaching Aids:
CD, Books, PPT.
Teaching Procedure:
Step 1: Warm-up
1.Introduce the characters (Zoom and Zip) and the background of the story.
2.Introduce the famous places in London: London Eye and the Thames
3.Say: Zoom and Zip come to a park, Zoom likes eating and then what does Zoom see? Lead in the story.
Step 2: Presentation and practice
1. Guess: Talk about the pictures and number the pictures
① Talk: Who are they? What are they doing?
②Number: number the pictures but check the answers after learning.
2. Read the picture 1 fast and answer
① Read the picture one and answer: What does Zoom want to go?
②Read the story fast: Circle the places.
3.Read again and answer the questions
① Where is the fish and chips?
② Where is the London Eye?
③ How can they get there?
④ How much food do they eat? (Present three portions and a small one )
Present the last picture and ask: Why does Zoom want to tanghulu?
(Attention: Don’t eat too much.)
4.Check the answers: Let’s number.
5.Listen and follow the tape.
6.Role-play.
Sep3: Summary and homework: try to retell the story.
