Lesson 23 Special holidays in China!

一、教材分析

本课主要谈论中国的传统节日，是春节这一课的继续。谈论了端午节和中秋节及其相关活动。这篇对话语篇的呈现形式，给学生提供了模仿交际的范本。突出了语言是用来做事的思想。可通过游戏和活动，创设真实的语言情景，来调动学生的积极性，从而激发学生的学习兴趣，为进一步学习打下基础。

教学对象为五年级学生,学生已学习了有关春节的单词和句型,有了一定基础。他们口语表达较为灵活,而且挑战自己,乐于展示自我。本课通过一些小组、竞赛游戏等活动,充分调动了学生的学习兴趣。使其掌握所学,并灵活运用。

二、教学目标：

1. 认读和理解新单词boat,moon及短语have dragon boat races, eat zongzi, watch the moon, eat moon cakes. 2. 了解中国其他两个传统节日及其相关活动。

3. 通过阅读课文获取关键信息并能根据提示来介绍中秋节和端午节。

4. 培养学生热爱祖国传统文化的爱国情怀。

三、教学重、难点：

了解端午节和中秋节及其相关活动，自己能独立介绍端午节和中秋节的活动，以及能通过自己的调查来介绍中国其他的传统节日。
