Teaching aims: Knowledge aims: Ss can understand the story. They can understand and read some words: How many, are there, fifteen, twenty, sandwich. Ability aims: Ss can understand the story by pictures and retell the story. Emotional aim: Ss learn to share with others.

Key point: Ss can understand the story .They can read and retell the story. Difficult point:Ss can distinguish how many sandwiches Gogo and Jenny eat. Teaching aids: head -wears , computer, pictures. Teaching procedures: Step1 Leading-in T: Good morning boys and girls.I’m Miss Gan. Today we are going to learn Unit8 Counting. Let’s sing a song about numbers. And you can count with the music. T: Now you can count one to ten. How about one to twelve? Let’s count together. T: The Children’s Day is coming. On Children’s Day, Gogo goes to two places. Place1—the fruit shop. This is a fruit shop. Wow, so many fruit. Gogo wants to know how many peaches are there. And are there seventeen pears?

T: Gogo goes to the place2. it’s a park. In the park, Gogo and his friend Jenny will pass three steps and get presents at last. Let’s follow them and help them pass the three steps. 【设计意图】用歌曲来激活学生对数字的记忆，活跃上课氛围。水果店场景的设置复习了部分水果的名字，引出新的句型和词汇，使学生初步感知。

how many peaches and oranges are there? Let’s help her. Let’s pass the step2. Watch and count. 3)T: Now we pass two steps together. It’s twelve o’clock. Gogo and Jenny are hungry. Gogo says: “Let’s eat!” Jenny says: “ There are some sandwiches.”

T: Do you know how many sandwiches are there at last. Let’s pass the step3. Read you book and underline the answers. 【设计意图】通过任务型教学，教师设置了几个小关卡来串联故事，引发学生的兴趣。学生在问题的解决中学会了知识，培养了兴趣。

Step3 Practice 1)

Continue the story T: Gogo and Jenny passed three steps and got presents at last. Wow , a beautiful

girl invites them to have a picnic. What will Gogo say and what will Jenny say? Let’s think about it.

2) Retell the story in groups.

T:Now we pass three steps and get the present. Let’s retell the story in group. 2)

Listen and repeat the story 3)Act the story T: I love the story. Now I want to be Gogo. Who wants to be Jenny? Let’s act the story in pairs. (教师示范)One is Gogo. The other is Jenny. You should do the action and read aloud. 【设计意图】复述、跟读模仿和表演使得学生更好地理解故事。生动的表演提高了学生学习英语的兴趣，满足孩子的表现欲。

Summary From the story, we know how many peaches and how many oranges on the trees. There are fifteen peaches and twenty oranges on the trees.

深对故事的理解，培养良好的语音语调。
