Ⅰ. Teaching aims 1.Knowledge aims：

（1）学习并掌握新词汇和短语。

There, there! It’ll be OK. 2. Skill aims: (1) 学会如何安慰情绪低落的同伴。

(2) 学生如何给情绪低落的同伴提建议。

3. Emotional aims: 通过对Section B的学习，学生能够学会关注他人的情绪，在别人情绪低落时提出合理有效的建议，帮助伙伴远离消极情绪。

Ⅱ. The key points and difficult points Key points：

1. 学生在交流中能自如地运用描述情绪和情感的形容词和提出建议的动词。

2. 正确运用原因状语从句。

Difficult points：

1. 正确运用be +adj. +prep.结构。

2. 学生对There, there!的理解。

Ⅲ. Learning strategies 在写作环节进行合作学习可取长补短，互相促进，共同进步！ IV：Teaching procedures : Stage 1 . Before-listening

Step1 . T greets the whole class . T asks some Ss how they feel today and why they feel like that ? How are you feeling today ? Why are you feeling ..? Then T asks Ss to guess how he is feeling now ? Ss may answer “ happy , excited ..” T says , Yes , I’m happy today ,but I’m also a little nervous because there are so many English teachers . Can you give me some suggestions to make me relaxed ? S1: You can listen to music . S2: Take it easy ! Smile and believe you can do it well . S3: You can do some sports . ……

Step 2 . Know more about others’

feelings and their reasons for these feelings . Ask Ss to give them suggestions . T: How does the boy feel ? Ss:He feels very sad . T:Why ? Ss: Because he failed the English exam . T: What should he do ? Ss: He had better work harder at English or he can ask his friends or teachers for help . ………….. How does Li Hong look ? She seems unhappy today . Do you want to know what’s the matter with her and what suggestions Miss Wang give her ? Now let’s listen to 1a . Stage 2 While-listening Task 1: Listen to 1a and tick the problems and suggestions you hear . Watch the flash of 1a and pay attention to the pronunciation and intonation . Stage 3 Post-listening Task 2: Watch the flash and practice the conversation in pairs , and then act it out . Task 3: Read 1a again and try to retell 1a by filling in the blanks in 1c . Task 4: Listen to 2a and find out what Li Hong and Helen talks about later .

Task 5: Project : Group leader makes a survey about your members’feelings. Talk about the reasons and try to give them advice. Then make a report about your survey. •

Give Ss an important tip : Everyone has unhappy feelings at times (有时),but we should try to be positive(积极的） about them .Try to talk more with our friends or parents , their advice may help us a lot ! Friendship and happiness are very important ! ……
