Lesson13 Ping-Pong and Basketball 【教材分析】
本课是冀教版小学英语五年级下册第三单元第13课。本课主要学习几种运动类的名词及参加这些运动时应该做的准备,尤其是服装的准备,让学生在感知、模仿、学习、体验的基础上逐步达到自然交流与真实运用语言的目的,感受学习英语的愉悦。
【教学目标】
知识目标:
1、能掌握四会单词:
sport,ping-pong,badminton,basketball,soccer,T-shirt,shorts,runners 2、能灵活使用句型:
What’s your favourite sport? My favoutite sport is ____./ I like ____ best. What do you wear to play ______? I wear ____ to play ____.
能力目标:
能运用所学词汇和句型表达对体育运动的热爱,利用探究式的学习方式,发展学生自主学习的能力。
情感目标:
让学生在英语课堂中不断体验成功,感受乐趣,树立自信心,培养学生热爱运动的情感。
【教学重点】
熟练运用四会单词及句型,表达对体育运动的热爱。
【教学难点】
对课文内容的理解
【教学方法】
情景交际法,合作学习法等。

课件、单词卡片、足球、篮球、羽毛球、乒乓球、习题卡
【教学过程】
Step one: Class Opening
1. Greetings. T: Hello, boys and girls. S: Hello, Miss Bai. (有节奏的拍手) T: How are you? S: I’m fine, thank you. And you? T: I’m fine, too. T: There are four groups in our class. Let’s see which group is best. Please try harder. T: What’s your name? S: My name is ….
T: Nice to meet you. S: Nice to meet you too. T: How’s the weather today? S: It’s hot and sunny./ It’s cold and rainy. T: It’s cool. So I’m wearing a coat. What are you wearing? S: I’m wearing a ….
(设计意图:
营造民主和谐的学习氛围,激活学生已有知识,将知识与生活相联系,师生交流更加真实、自然。)
2. Sing a clothes song. T: I have a song. Listen carefully. What are they wearing? (设计意图:从歌曲中找服装,既激发了学生的学习兴趣,又为复习服装单词做准备。
)
3. Revision. T: What are they wearing? pants dress sweater coat shorts shoes hat (分组说,说出一个,得一分) 说出shorts 时,教师出示图片,short – shorts These are shorts. (板书shorts) (设计意图:以服装入手,导入新课,同时引出本课服装新单词。)
Step two: New Concepts 1. New clothes words
①出示图片shirt —— T- shirt (图片展示) 让学生们一起试读,出示T-shirt 图片。
This is a T- shirt. ( 板书a T- shirt ) ②
图片 run —— runners (图片) run 单个字母出现,给学生展示变化过程,找学生试读,领读。出示runners 图片
These are runners. (板书runners)
(设计意图:引导学生自学新单词,尝试教与学方式的转变,体现学生的主体地位。)
2. New sports words ①对话引入
T: What are they wearing? 出示图片
S: They’re wearing runners, shorts, and a T- shirt ( This is a … These are….)
T: What are they doing? S: They are running. ②欣赏运动图片
T: Now let’s have a rest. Enjoy some pictures.出示一组运动图片(badminton, ping-pong, basketball, soccer)
T: What are they doing? S: They are playing. ③ Learn new sports words A badminton 出示图片,用单词卡,教学生拼读单词bad – min – ton badminton 展示实物,领读单词Spell the word Draw the picture and write down the word on blackboard. (板书简笔画badminton)
T: I can play badminton.(板书play) T: Who can play badminton? (找学生上台做动作) T: Badminton is a sport(板书sport) B Ping-pong 出示图片,用单词卡,找学生试读,教学生拼读单词ping – pong ping-pong (-) 展示实物,领读单词Spell the word. Draw the picture and write down the word on blackboard. (板书简笔画ping-pong)
T: Who can play ping-pong? Please try it. (找学生上台做动作) T: Ping-pong is a sport too. Ping-pong ,we can say table tennis. C Soccer 出示图片,用单词卡,教学生拼读单词so- cc-er (cc- k) soccer 展示实物,领读单词Spell the word. Draw the picture and write down the word on blackboard.(板书简笔画soccer)
T: Who can play ping-pong? Please try it. (找学生上台做动作) T: Soccer is a sport too. Soccer, we can say football. D Basketball 出示图片,用单词卡,教学生拼读单词ba-s-ke-t-ball basketball 展示实物,领读单词Spell the word. Draw the picture and write down the word on blackboard. (板书简笔画basketball)
T: Who can play ping-pong? Please try it. (找学生上台做动作) T: Basketball is a sport too. ④ sports T: Badminton, ping-pong , soccer and basketball are sports.(板书sports)
⑤引出课题
T: Today we’ll learn sports. Lesson 17: Ping-pong and Basketball
⑥Games 看实物抢答单词。
(设计意图:抢答单词激发了学生的学习热情,快速记忆新单词,注重了学生能力的培养,且为听录音填写单词做准备。) T: Do you know the other sports? Running swimming (图片)
3. Practice 1 too / either T: I like sports. I always play sports every day. Do you like sports? What sports do you like? S: I like ping-pong. T: I like ping-pong too. T: Do you like soccer? S: No, I don’t. T: You don’t like soccer. I don’t like soccer either. Practice 2 T: I like basketball best. My favourite sport is basketball. What’s your favourite sport板书What’s you favourite sport? S: My favourite sport is…. My favourite sport is….. / I like … best.) (组内活动)
T: Please talk about the sports. Ask and answer in your groups. You can say: What’s your favourite sport? My favourite sport is… I like….best.

4. Listening (part one) T: Now let’s look at our friends Jenny and Li Ming. What do they like?Listen to the tape and answer questions:

①The first listening T: I want to play. Jenny and Li Ming want to play sports too. What do they wear to play? Listen carefully and answer the question: What do they wear to play? S: A T- shirt, shorts and runners. ②The second listening T: Let’s go on listening. Answer Yes or No. Let’s look at the questions first.( 可以找同学读) Yes / No 1. Does Li Ming have shorts? Yes 2. Does he have runners? No 3. Does he have a T-shirt? No 4. Does Jenny have ping-pong ball? No (设计意图:通过简单的问题,让学生初步理解课文。)
③Reading T: I have some harder questions for you. Please read and answer the questions in your groups. Questions: 1. Who can teach Li Ming to play basketball? Jennycan teach Li Ming to play basketball. 2. What is there in the school gym? There is a ping-pong table. 3. What do they want to buy? They want to buy a T- shirt, runners and some ping-pong balls. 4. Where do they buy? At the store. 组内朗读并回答问题
