本课是冀教版第十册Lesson10 Mr. Wood’s Science Class.本册书有四个单元,本课是第二单元的第四课。本单元的主题是School in Canada,主要介绍了Li Ming在加拿大的学校之后所涉及的学校内容,其中包括At Jenny’s School, Li Ming Meets Jenny’s Class及Always do your homework等。本课重点是教授学生关于天气、温度等相关科学知识的运用。本课重点单词是temperature degree science,重点句型是What’s the temperature? It’s______degrees.

学情分析:

本节课是五年级下半学期的课。中高年级的学生有了一定的英语基础,大部分学生对于英语有了一定的兴趣。本课中涉及的知识与生活息息相关,所以在教学设计中通过一些科学小实验让学生在兴趣中掌握所学知识。本课中句型较简单,但是个别单词较长,个别学生掌握较困难,所以在教学中应注意学生掌握程度。

教学内容:

2. It’s______degrees.

教学目标:

1.通过课堂教学活动,学生能够准确地掌握下列单词:temperature degree science

2.通过不同的活动设计,学生能够灵活运用句型:What’s the temperature?It’s______degrees.画出天气趋势图及进行简单的天气播报。

教学重难点:

1.能够运用句型What’s the temperature? It’s______degrees.进行问答。

2. 看图写出天气预报并进行播报。

教具准备:教学光盘、课件、图片、学习卡等。

教学过程:

Step1. Free talk

1.How’s the weather? 2.How was the weather yesterday?3. What day is it?4.What day was yesterday?5. How do you feel?

Step2. New Concept

T: I’m wearing…I feel…. Look, what is the temperature?

Ss answer the question.

Teach degree.

Let one student draw the degrees on the blackboard.

T: What’s the temperature? Look at the blackboard.

Teach temperature.

出示PPT四个学生分别在南极,沙哈拉沙漠等人四个地点,让其他学生猜温度。【设计思路:四个学生分别在四个地点,让其他学生猜温度。为学生创造一个真实而有意义的课堂生活体验环节,不仅有利于学生的自由发挥,而且让学生在活跃的课堂中感受英语、运用英语、掌握英语。在轻松的环境中操练句型It’s____degrees.】

Talk about the temperatures in Beidaihe last week,and make a chart together.
