四、教学设计Teaching design
1. Warm-up activities
1) Greetings with each other and dividing them into four groups.
2) Let’s sing a Hello song, adding our gestures.
2. Lead-in 1) T: Boys and girls, a festival is coming soon. I’ll show you some pictures. Let’s guess what festival is it?
2) Lead in the Dragon Boat Festival. (Practice the Dragon Boat Festival in groups.) 3. Presentation 1) Show students the pictures of drum, dragon boat and rice dumpling. 2) Practice the words of drum, dragon and rice dumpling.
Drum T: Look! What’s this? (Show Ss the real drum. Have some group’s students read this word. If they right they can hit the drum. )
Dragon Boat
Read the word in high low voice with action.
Rice dumpling
Show students a rice dumpling, and ask them: “Who wants to eat rice dumpling?” 、“How about the rice dumpling.” Then
practice this word.
4. Activities
1) Show a chant for students.
Let’s chant:
Hear the drum, boom boom boom!
Roll the boat, go go go!
Rice dumpling, yum yum yum!
2) Have students learn this chant one sentence by sentence with action.
Practice the first sentence in groups. Practice the second sentence by girls or boys. Practice the third sentence by calling the roll.
3) Ask students stand up and perform the whole chant. Then ask students turn back, perform this chant for parents.
4) Wish students and their family happiness and have a good health. 五、Homework

2. I can say the chant for my parents.
