一.Teaching aims.

1. Review topics: hobbies and personal information. And the related sentences: What is/are…hobbies?

2. Review key grammars: like/likes doing , does questions and answers. Verb’s ing form.

3. Feel confident to reply to sb.

二.Important and difficult points

Important points: how to ask hobbies and personal information.

Difficult points: key grammar

三.Teaching steps:

Step 1. Greetings:

T:Good morning , boys and girls. How are you today? And ask hobbies. (设计意图:通过打招呼提高学生的积极性,询问相关话题,为下一步教学做铺垫)

Step2. Lead in

T: My friend Oliver sent me an email. Do you want to know?

Let’s look through it. There are two questions: 1. What are Oliver’s hobbies? 2. What are Amy’s hobbies?

(设计意图:通过创设实际情景,在真实的语境中,感受话题。) Step3: Conclude

From the letter, we know Oliver’s and Amy’s hobbies. Let’s conclude how to ask one’s hobbies.

Give student s' a mind map. Lead them to conclude.

1)What are one’

What are your hobbies? A/ He/ She likes ……

What are his hobbies?

What are her hobbies?

.

What is your hobby? I like…..

2) Like/likes +doing

3) the form of verb’s ing let students discuss first, and then report.

4) Grammar chant and do some exercise.

( 设计意图:通过小组合作,整合语法点,以学生为主体,即调动积极

性,也学会了归纳知识点。并在练习中继续夯实知识点。)

Step4: Does questions and answers.

lead in :I have a funny friend, his name is John. And his brother wants to know his friend. Why? Because his friend’s name is John , too. Let’s see what they are talking about.

∙Find the questions and answers.

∙Make a summary about does questions and the answers.

∙Find out assertive sentence. Sum the structure.

∙Rectify the sentences. Pay attention to the grammar faults.

(设计意图:承接笔友的话题,继续创设实际情景,通过问答,发现目标语言的相似点,从而发现规律,总结规律。在判断正误的活动,即减少了语法的枯燥性,也在趣味活动中,强化了语法点)

Step5: Extension

Oliver wants me to reply to him. I want your help. Can you help me? Please fill in and read it loudly with your partner.

When you have a foreign pen pal. I hope you can send an email to show your hobbies and personal information.

(设计意图:将语言点运用到实际生活,即用英语解决实际问题,也鼓励学生们在之后的生活中将英语变成一种语言工具)

Step6. Homework

1.Write 5 sentences about hobbies or personal information.

2.Draw a mind map to conclude the topic and grammar.

3.Send an email to your pen pal.
