Lesson 6 Tell What It Is by Feeling The first period

一、Teaching content: New words and new sentences.
二、Teaching targets
(一)、Knowledge target
1.The words:feel /smell sweet/ taste delicious/ sound noisy/ Look dirty/look clean/look heavy/look light. 2.The patterns:
How does it feel? It feels round and soft. It is a tomato. (二)、Ability target:
1. The students can read and understand the new words and sentences. 2. The pupils are able to ask and answer:
How does it feel/smell/taste/sound/look?
It feels/smells/tastes/sounds/looks... (三)、Emotional target :
Have the the pupils get to know how to express their feeling. 三、The important and difficult points 1. How to teach the new words.
2. Practice the small dialogue correctly.
四、Teaching aids:
Materials object and ppt.
五、Teaching steps Step 1 Warm up
1. Greet the pupils and introduce myself.
2. 出示课件上的五个单词,要求学生找出不同类的一个,对回答正确学生提出表扬“You look clever.”让学生初步感知Look 在本句型中的含义。
Step 2 Presentation
1. 展示图片眼睛,引出单词look, 引出句型you look ...he/she looks...同时教学单词短语look dirty/look clean/look heavy/look light. 2.通过图片或实物教学smell sweet, sound noisy, taste delicious,以及feel 后面接形容词。
3. 教学对话。借助实物苹果,通过教师提问,启发学生正确回答相关话题。从视觉、嗅觉、味觉、听觉等方面描述一样东西。
Step 3 Practice
1,实物展示,训练学生用英语从视觉、嗅觉、味觉等方面描述一样物体,正确表达自己对事物的感受。 2,小组练习。同桌两人一组进行对话练习。
Step 4 Summary
Sum up what has been learnt in this lesson. Point out the patterns. Step 5 Homework
Make five sentences by using the words and sentences we have learnt today.
