学情分析:
(一)学生特点(Characteristics of students):六年级的学生经过五年多的英语学习,已经具备一定的听说读写能力,他们好奇心强,表现欲旺盛,对于新知识有浓厚的兴趣,特别对自己喜欢的话题,他们乐于表达,乐于展现自己,本模块涉及到真实的情境话题,学生们非常乐于通过各种方式来展现。
(二)相关知识(relevant knowledge)在学习本模块之前,学生已经掌握了一些节日名称,也知道相关这些节日的一些习俗文化,对中国的传统节日以及一些西方节日能简单地进行描述,比如National Day, Halloween, Children’s Day,在此基础上,学生对本模块新学习的节日Thanksgiving比较容易理解和谈论,通过本模块第二单元的学习,学生更加深了对节日Christmas的理解。
设计思路:
本课时主要是以“谈论话题”的方式进行复习教学。从日常对话着手,以谈论“My favourite festival”这个话题为明线,对节日名称的复习,从说到写的步骤,由易到难、阶梯式递进,巩固所学知识内容。大概思路如下:
1. 复习相关节日(热身、引出话题Which festival is your favourite?)
2. 学生谈论他们最喜欢的节日(从学生的喜欢的节日经历展开话题,并对相关节日进行一个复习梳理)
3. 以海报,对话的形式展示出话题内容(组内对子对话或介绍海报的形式分享最喜欢的节日)
4. 以书面形式小作文汇报:Writing:My favourite festival

Step 1: Greetings
T: Hello, boys and girls.
Ss: Hello, Miss Jiang. Step 2: Warmer

My favourite festival” .Do you like festivals? Ss: Yes, I do.

T: Yes, I like festivals, too. First , let’s sing a beautiful song,(播放课本第24页的歌曲“America, America”,学生跟随音乐一起大声唱)

让学生通过英文歌曲的听唱,既吸引了学生的注意力,也使学生很快融入英语课堂氛围中。

Review the names of festivals T: Wow, you sing so well. Which festival can you hear in this song? Ss: Thanksgiving. T: Yes, Thanksgiving is a very important festival in America. Can you tell me about it? S1, S2, S3 T: Good, you know so well. There are also many other festivals in America. Let’s see what they are. Look at the pictures and say the festivals. T: The first, which festival is it? Ss: Christmas. T: Yes, it’s Christmas, we have Christmas trees. How about this one? Ss: Halloween.
T: You are right. It’s Halloween, it’s so scary. What about the last one? Ss: Easter.
T: Good, it’s Easter. They are chocolate eggs or Easter eggs. And all these festivals are Western festivals. T: In China, we also have many important festivals. Please look at these. Can you read them? Ss:…. (Read together) T: Good. Let’s match them. 【设计说明】1.看图片说节日的游戏能充分调动学生的学习兴趣,在猜测中引发学生的好奇心,使其通过视觉感知唤起旧知。在这里适时地复习有关节日,唤起学生的旧知,为下面的环节做好铺垫。

【设计说明】
用问答的方式与学生进行问答交流,谈论最喜欢的节日,也谈论有关节日的时间和活动以及食物。为下面的展示对话环节做好热身。
Step 4: Watch a video about “My favourite festival”
T: Now, Here is a video about their favourite festivals, let’s watch it. Pay attention to “Which festivals are their favourite?”
T: Which festival is XXX’s favourite?
... (Ask questions about the video.) 【设计说明】学生观看视频,视频作为一个对话范例起示范作用。
Step 5:Introduce my favourite festival and my poster. T: Now I know your favourite festivals, can you guess which festival is my favourite? Now, let’s look. ( Give some tips to help the Ss guess.) T: Yes, you are so clever. It’s the Mid-autumn Festival. Look, here is my poster about it.
【设计说明】通过让学生猜自己喜欢的节日,再介绍自己喜欢的节日的海报,给学生做一个范例,当介绍海报,谈论节日时,要介绍节日的时间,介绍这个节日的一些习俗,让后面学生小组任务介绍海报时更有条理。
Step 6: Group work T: Now, it’s your group time. Choose a task. You’ll have three minutes to prepare. (学生小组进行预展) T: It’s show time now. (学生分组展示) 【设计说明】在小组合作学习中,对子之间的互问互答,能最大限度地发挥每个学生的学习积极性,使每个学生都参与进来。
