How often do you go hiking. Very often. I go hiking once a week. B.

How often do you eat fish? I eat fish about once a week. II. Teaching objectives. 1.

Use the right pronunciation and intonation to read the phrases and sentences. 2.

Step One: Revision. 1.

Present the title “ How often do you go hiking?”

The students follow the teacher to read the title for twice. 3.

Read the phrases they’ve learned in the 1st period. 

Step Two: Presentation. 1.

Present the sentence structure A.

(1) Read the questions “How often do you go hiking?” for several times. T: Now who can ask me a question? (Have a student read out the question.) S1: How often do you go hiking? T: I go hiking once a week. (Present a picture.) (Repeat for several times. Have the students understand.) S2: How often do you go fishing? T: I go fishing once a week. (Repeat) (2) Write down the sentences. Read the question and the answers. (3) Practice sentence structure A. Look at the pictures and answer the questions. T: How often do you go hiking/ go dancing/ go fishing/ go ice-skating/ go swimming? (Pictures) Ss: I go hiking/ go dancing/ go fishing/ go ice-skating/ go swimming….

(4) Work in pairs. Ask and answer. S1: How often do you…?

2. Present Target. (1) Have the students answer the question. T: How often do you go hiking? S1:Very often. I go hiking once a week. T: How often do you eat fish? T: Not very often. I eat fish about once a month. (Have the students imitate the teacher to answer the question.) (2) Write down the sentences on the blackboard and read. (3) The students ask a question and the teacher answers. (4) Practice sentence structure. Look at the pictures and answer the questions. (5) Pair work. 3. Practice
