Have the students look around the classroom and pick out the things that feel hot, cold, hard, soft, rough or smooth.

Make sentences with these new words. Play a guessing game in groups.

Students take out some stationery items. Repeat after the teacher. Answer the questions.

Encourage the students to describe how the things feel. S1: My book is smooth. S2: The blackboard is hard and smooth.

Show some stationery to the students and answer the questions. Tell the students that sharp-blunt, thick-thin, rough-smooth, soft-hard are opposites.

Questions: Whose pencil is it? Whose rubbers are these?
