本单元的教学主题是More things to learn.第一单元的主题是A music class通过让学生了解不同的乐器的声音来感受音乐的美。本单元结合学生已学过的句型Where’s...?It’s...以及新授句型Whose ...is this?It’s...及单词piano,violin,triangle,drum来学习形容词性物主代词。本单元的语篇是The Piper of Hamelin ,学习哈梅林镇的吹笛手,故事内容有趣生动,而且富有戏剧性。对于四年级的同学们来说有很高的学习兴趣。
学情分析:
1、
四年级的孩子更喜欢在体验中学习并掌握知识,本单元可以通过组织学生进行实物体验make a musical instrument、对话交流、小组调查等方式开展教学,让学生在不同的活动体验中学习新授词汇与句型。在词汇与句型积累的基础上,逐步提高学生阅读语篇的能力。通过学习,学生除了可以描述自己的感受之外还能与他人进行交流,询问对方的感受,并能运用所学的句型询问物品的归属,使所学内容与实际生活紧密相连,达到学能致用的目的。

This is a new piano for our teacher, Miss Fang . Touch it. It’s hard and smooth. Ding-ding! It sounds nice. I can play the piano too. I like playing the piano.
That is Kitty’s violin. It’s nice and new. She often plays the violin. Listen! Zing-zing! She is playing the violin. She plays it well.
There are two drums in it. Danny has a big drum. It’s over there, beside the piano. It’s big and round. He can play the drum. Boom-boom! He likes playing the drum. Alice has a small drum. She likes playing it too.
Peter has a triangle in his bag. He can play the triangle. Ting-ting! He plays it well.
Now we are all playing the music. How fun! Music makes us happy.

本课是词汇课,主要学习新单词piano,
violin,triangle,drum。学生们有在私下学习各种特长的,因此也对这几种乐器有一些了解,因此容易引起学生的兴趣。通过一首儿歌引入新课,创设了情景在情境中分层教授新词。在课后环节将新授单词与上一个单元的话题Music Club结合在一起创设了一个新的情景,让学生在情景中使用新词,巩固所学。
