Teaching contents grammar

a. Students are able to recognize the temporal adverbials of present continuous tense.( at present, now, right now, at the moment, at this time) Knowledge b. "at the moment" etc, students are able to identify application situation of the present continuous tense. a. Students can develop their cooperation ability by finishing all the tasks in groups. b. After this lesson which provides several articles on environmental protection, students' awareness of environmental protection has been fully cultivated. Step1.Leading-in Ask Ss to listen to a song with this tense and fill in the blanks and sum up the verb tense used in the song so as to lead in the lesson.

Teaching procedures

Step2.Presentation Task1: Watch two sentences and sum up the use of the present continuous tense. Task2: Talk about three pictures and sum up the structures of the present continuous tense. Task3: Ask students to find the Ving in the song ,write their basic form , group them and work out the rules of how to transform the basic form of verbs into its present participle. After that , the teacher emphasize some important points. Task4: Ask students to read a passage and ask questions using the present continuous tense and ask them to sum up the Temporal adverbial of present continuous tense.

Step3. Practice Put what they have learnt into practice . Let students talk about the pictures on page 53. Ask students to make a conversation in pairs.

Step4.Consolidation

Hold a composition among the groups.

Exercise about the present continuous tense.

Sum up the important points.

Step5. Homework: (1)

Finish the exercises in Students Times.
