Unit 5 What does he do? Write a composition

一、教学内容：

本教学设计是人教版PEP小学六年级上册Unit 5 What does he do? 学生练习写的一篇英语小作文。以“My _______”为题，写一篇小作文，介绍他/她的职业，在哪上班、乘坐哪种交通工具上班、爱好等。不少于5句话。

二、教学目标：

1、知识与能力目标：

1）、培养学生初步的写作能力、学会叙述身边的人的人物职业、兴趣爱好等基本情况。

2）、培养学生基本的造句的能力，掌握一些固定的英语语言表达。

2、学习策略目标：

1）、学会小组合作学习，交流信息，提高英语写作能力。

2）、掌握英语写作中组织语言的基本方法。

3、情感态度目标：

通过这一写作，培养学生基本的英语写作能力，培养学生愿意用英语叙述身边的人的人物职业、兴趣爱好等基本情况。

三、教学重难点：

1、学会用英语表达身边的人的人物职业、兴趣爱好等基本情况。

2、使段落和句子前后连贯，相互呼应，有一定的逻辑性。

四、教具准备：

1、一篇学生熟悉的老师的有关例文。

2、制作课件和教案。

3、多媒体设备。

五、教学过程：

Step 1、Warm-up/ Review 1、Let’s sing: What do you want to do ? 2、Free talk: Do you want to be a scientist, too? What do you want to be ? …

3、Review the words about the careers: businessman、postman、postwoman、pilot 、coach 、scientist ……

4、Review the phrases about the vehicles: on foot 、by bus 、by motorcycle ……

5、Review the sentences about the hobbies and so on. Step 2、Presentation 1、Guess: Who is he? He is a teacher in our school. He is strong. He likes running and singing. He also likes drawing pictures. He often draws pictures at school. 2、Answer the questions by the pictures: 1）、Where does Mr Gu work? 2）、What does he teach? 3）、What is he like? 4）、What are his hobbies? 5）、What does he often do at school? 6）、How does he go to work? 7）、Is he a cool teacher? Step 3、Consolidation 1、Make up the composition by the answers: My teacher My best teacher is Mr Gu. He teaches us PE. Sometimes he teaches us art. He is strong. He likes running and singing. He also likes drawing pictures. He often draws pictures at school. His home is far. So he usually goes to school by car. What a cool teacher! 2、Let the students write a composition about “My _______”. 3、Show some students’ compositions.
