Let’s talk

教材分析:本单元由词组教学、对话教学、歌谣等几个部分组成。在第一节课中学生已学习了本单元的重点词组,各种俱乐部名称。本节课重点学习如何用英语讨论他们喜欢做的事,然后选择哪个俱乐部和给出选择的原因。本节课内容与学生生活息息相关,是学生非常感兴趣的话题。因此在学习本课对话时我们可以给学生创造适合他们的情境,便于操练,利于学习。

学情分析:五年级的学生从小学一年级至今已经有4年的朗文英语学习基础。能够运用一些学过的英语主题与他人进行简单的口语交际。该班级大部分学生上课表现活跃积极,语言***不错。本次授课内容来自教材LONGMAN Welcome to English 4B Chapter1 Join our club Part A的句型。之前学生已在四年级时学了句型What do you like to do in your spare time? I like singing/....也在第一节课中结合新词组俱乐部名称(eg:Drama Club, Sports Club, English Club, Music Club, Art Club, Gardening Club, Maths Club, Pet Club, Cooking Club, Computer Club)的学习时,同时复习PEP第四单元What can you do ? I can...句型的表达。

设计理念:通过本课句型学习使学生有兴趣听、说英语,谈论自己喜欢的俱乐部以及喜欢的原因。在情境对话中培养学生敢干开口,乐于模仿,在小组活动中培养学生积极参与合作能力,在表演、游戏、歌谣等形式的学习过程中激发学生对英语学习的兴趣。

Teaching objectives:

1.

复习学校兴趣小组的名称(Drama Club, Sports Club, English Club, Music Club, Art Club, Gardening Club, Maths Club, Pet Club, Cooking Club, Computer Club)and the purpose for joining them. 2.

通过进一步学习句型What can you do at ...?I can ..../ Which club do you want to join? I want to join the ....谈论不同兴趣小组所能做的事情。

3.

通过学习句型Why do you want to join to the...?Because I want to ....to talk about the reasons for wanting to do. 4.

Finally they participate in a rap about different clubs and the reasons they want to join them.

Teaching important point: 1. 通过进一步学习句型What can you do at ...?I can ..../ Which club do you want to join? I want to join the ....谈论不同兴趣小组所能做的事情。

2. 通过学习句型Why do you want to join to the...?Because I want to ....to talk

about the reasons for wanting to do.

Teaching difficult point: How to ask about and give reasons using why and because.

Emotional education:在情境对话中培养学生敢干开口,乐于交流,在小组活动中培养学生积极参与合作能力,在表演、游戏、歌谣等形式的学习过程中激发学生对英语学习的兴趣。

Teaching procedure Step1:Warm-up 1.Let’s play a game:Can you catch the plane! (设计意图:通过飞机载单词快闪的形式,让学生在抢答中复习上节课所学俱乐部名称和参加俱乐部的目的。在游戏中调动课堂气氛,激发学生对英语学习的热情。)

Guessing game:Which club? 1).Jim likes flowers and plants. 2).Kate wants to improve her English and speak English. 3).She can act in a play in this club. 4).Mary wants to keep fit and get fit. 5).Bob likes playing music and singing songs. 6).I like playing chess and making friends. 7).They like drawing and painting. 8).I want to look after my pets well. 9).My grandma likes cooking good food. (设计意图:通过读句子回答问题的形式,让学生在抢答的基础回忆所学过的俱乐部名称,并在快速读句子的基础上复习the purposes for joining the club. ) Step2 Presentation 1.Lead-in: So many clubs in our our school.Welcome to join our school club!(Show all the names of clubs the students have learned. ) 2.Show all the clubs for students to free talk A: Which club do you want to join? B: I want to join the....

A: What can you do in the ...? B: I can.... (设计意图:通过学生自由找搭档进行对话的形式,复习之前所学过的句型,为新句型的学习做铺垫。) 3.T:You are talking about the clubs, and you can do many things in your interesting clubs.What about our friend Jim and Kate? What are they talking about? Let’s listen and choose. (设计意图:让学生带着问题听句子,整理呈现课文。)

Listen again and answer the questions: Q1:Which club does Jim want to john? S:He wants to join the Drama Club. Q2:Why does he want to john the Drama Club? S:Because he likes drama.(指导学生用because来回答问题。) Show the word cards to teach the words why and because with phonics. 5.

Go on listening and answer the questions: Q1:Which club does Kate want to john? Q2:Why does she want to john the Drama Club? (设计意图:学生通过再次听音,细读句子回答问题,引导学生回答问题时呈现新词why和because,并用自然拼读法教学生拼读单词。) 5.Show the special questions:What...?/Which...?/When...?/Where...? Why...?

Because.... Use these words to make sentences. (设计意图:通过造句让学生在区别这些特殊疑问词的基础上加深区别运用Why...? Because....)

Writing practice: Use Why and Because to fill in. 1) ______do you want to join the Maths Club? ______I like doing sums and I like Mr Wang. 2)________________________________ ?

Because I want to keep fit. 3)________________________________ ? Because I want to keep fit. (设计意图:让学生从口头造句过渡到笔头练习,真正地从听说读写训练学生这两个重难点句型。) Step3.Consolidation and extension 1.Let’s chant together, then make new chants and rap together. We want to join the Music Club. We want to join the Music Club.

(设计意图:通过歌谣形式,让学生创编歌曲并上台边说唱边做动作,在说唱的基础上巩固新句型Why...?Because....激发学生学习热情和学习的积极性。) 2.

In Guangxia School, there are many interesting class. Which class do you want to join? And why do you want to join the club? Let’s discuss and talk with your friends.Then show the dialogue. A: Hello, .... Which club do you want to join? B: I want to join ....

A: Why do you want to join the ...? B: Because I like ..../I want to.... What about you, ...? A: I want to join the .... Because I .... (设计意图:通过设计真实的生活情境,广廈学校有开展兴趣班,你会选择哪种兴趣班?为什么要选择?让学生在情境中进行pair work交流,综合运用语言,培养学生敢干开口,乐于交流的能力。) 3.

教学反思:

本节课教学目标清晰,教学重难点突出,课堂气氛活跃,予乐于教,学生在乐中学,学习效率较高。

在复习方面是通过飞机载单词快闪的形式,让学生在抢答中认读已学俱乐部名,所以课伊始,课堂气氛活跃,学生学习热情高涨。接着老师继续以“猜的游戏”让学生通过读整个句子并完整回答形式,让学生在抢答的过程中回忆所学过的俱乐部名称,并在快速读句子的基础上练说完整表达要参加此俱乐部的原因,为后面的学习埋下伏笔。

在学习完新授句型后,老师能够利用课本后面的歌谣,让学生在说唱表演的快乐氛围中巩固新知,学生们非常喜欢这一环节,所以气氛非常high!能够创设真实的生活情境(欢迎来报读广厦兴趣班),让学生在生活情境中进行pair work交流,综合运用所学语言,并展示。此环节培养了学生敢干开口,乐于交流的能力。最后让学生动动笔进行填表,在通过完成兴趣班表格填写过程,让学生从听说读的过程升迁到综合写的能力的锻炼,体现了练习设计的梯度性。

学生已在三四年级时学了句型What do you like to do in your spare time? I like singing/....也在第一节课中已经学习新词组俱乐部名称Drama Club, Sports Club, English Club, Music Club, ArtClub,Gardening Club, Maths Club, Pet Club, Cooking Club, Computer Club,同时在PEP第四单元What can you do ?中已学句型What can you/he/she/they do ? I /He/She/We/They can...等句型的表达。学生只需在此基础上完成Why do you want to join to the...?Because I want to ....的句型学习,并能在真实的生活情境中运用句型即可,所以本节课学习内容对本班学生来说相对比较简单,可以再适当拓展其他知识,让本节课内容更加丰满。
