Warming up:

Pre-task presentation:

Bring in a cup, a bowl,a glass and a plate . Write on the PPT for these containers. Get pupils to revise the food they know by asking them questions.

T:What drinks do we get in a cup? P: It’s lemon tea/hot chocolate. T: What would you like?

P: I’d like a cup of lemon tea/hot chocolate.

Show another three types of containers, foods

and drinks .The same way to learn the

quantities. Point at the list of words on the PPT. Play a bomb game to re-read. While –task practice : Point at the list of words on the PPT. T: What drink would you like? What food would you like?

P: I’d like a cup of lemon tea . I’d like a plate of fried noodles. (practice all the food and drinks , making sure pupils are matching the food and containers correctly ) T: Where are Beeno and his friends? P: They are in a restaurant. T: Let’s act like Beeno and his friends.

Practice the dialogue of the text group by group and have a PK. Choose some of the group to show their dialogue

Post-task activity :

Fill in the blanks on PPT. To check pupils’

understanding, encourage them to find out more containers.
