教材分析：

本单元主要以影子为话题，对一般现在时态，主语是第三人称单数的语法进行了专题训练。于此同时，在教学中也要对涉及到的如behind, in front of等表示位置的介词进行复习。

四年级的学生经过三年半的英语学习，在英语学习兴趣上也有更大的提高，同时，大部分学生在四年级上学期的学习中也开始养成了较好的课堂习惯，如，大部分学生能在课堂上能积极思考、认真参与交流活动，课后也能按照老师的要求认真地完成听说任务。我班学生家长也很配合老师的教学任务，大部分家长能积极、认真、仔细地监督孩子完成每天的作业，家、校、生间的良好配合使得大部分孩子都已初步形成了良好的学习习惯。

1、在故事情境学习中，初步学习并感知本单元的核心词汇：hill, lawn, path, bench,能够听并掌握这些核心词汇的发音。

2、在故事语境中，学习并初步感知本课的重点句型：The tree’s shadow is/grows …

来描述影子。
