学习Unit6 Electricity speaking up 和writing部分，并且拓展writing部分到日常生活中。

二、【Learning Aims】教学目标

1.Language knowledge: Learn the new words and expressions: bulb, lock , test, tidy, touch, air conditioner, switch off, tidy up. 2.Language skills: 1)Master the use of modal verbs 2)Use must and must not/mustn’t to tell people what to do or what not to do 3)Talk about safety rules at home. 4) Make some home rules. 3. Learning strategy: According to the pictures ,talking about safety rules at home,try to discuss, express and write down the rules. 4.Emotional attitude: Learn to discuss and finish the project in groups; arouse the learning spirits of cooperation in a team. 5. Cultural consciousness: To learn about the rules at home/at school and encourage students to be a civilized student

三、【Learning procedure】教学过程

Step I. Warm up Watch the video and get students to talk about

the electricity safety tips

Step 2.Speak up(pair work) Task 1: Johnny’s father is talking to Johnny about safety at home. Get Ss to look at the picture and work in pairs. S1 is Johnny. S2 is Dad. Follow the example: S1:May I change the bulb? S2:No, you may not. You must switch off the electricity. Then you may change the bulb.

Step 3. Pre-writing 1.

Get Ss to go over the imperatives go give orders or advice. 2.

Remind Ss about using modal verbs to talk about safety tips.

Step4. While-writing Task 2: Group work

Johnny’s father is asking Johnny to make some rules for the family to follow. In pairs, help Johnny make four rules. Get Ss to finish exercise A on page 82. Home rules We must:

In groups, discuss what we must/mustn’t do in different part of Jingtai Junior High School, Write down the rules and then make a presentation to the whole class.

Eg: To be a polite student in Jingtai Junior High School,

we’ll have to do a lot of things. We must follow the rules in our classroom/ canteen(饭堂）/library......, First, we must..., Second,......

If we can obey the rules ,our school will be better and better.

Step 6. Homework: Finish the article
