一、教学目标

1、能够听、说、认读表示长短大小的单词：long

3、能结合单词和句型简单的描述动物的外貌特征增加对动物的喜爱之情。

4、能进一步感受学习英语的乐趣，把所学的语言与生活紧密结合起来，积极参与交际活动。

二、教学内容

三、教学过程

1.学习big, small,elephant 1)承接复习环节，利用最后出现的cow和bird两只动物，Say: The cow is big. The cat is small.学单词并小组练习这两个句子。

2)请同学们列举一大一小两只动物。先小组讨论，在展示讨论结果。

3）教师出示图片，学生一起讨论，利用最后一组图片elephant and bird学习elephant,听录音

2.学习fat ，thin,monkey,panda

出示一肥一瘦两只猪，学习

The pig is fat. The pig is thin.学生读熟fat and thin 之后，利用图片一起讨论Which is fat? Which is thin? 最后出示panda and monkey,学习新词汇，并听录音。

3.学习zoo 将elephant，bird，panda,monkey再次出示，巩固句子

The elephant is big.The bird is small.The panda is fat. The monkey is thin.然后问：Where do they live?At the zoo,同时出示动物园图片。

Practice : 1.Play a game:根据老师所给信息提示，猜猜是什么动物？（fat,big,thin, white and black, bananas,peaches,a long nose, 猴脸图片，金箍棒，动物的叫声等）

2.完成课本第三部分

Class closing: 课堂小结并讨论如何将单词记住，教学生一些有趣的记单词方法

作业：课下和同学继续做课堂猜动物小游戏
