Teaching Aims: New words and expressions.

Be+V-ing. Teaching Situation: The students have already learned the present progressive,but they always forget the be or –ing.So more practice is needed.In this unit,we will still learn the present progressive, enough practice will be required. Teaching Methods: The Task-based Teaching Method, The situational Method. Teaching Procedures: Step1.Greeting Say hi to the students. Step2.Lead-in Show a cartoon to the students,and the students will tell what the bird and the dog are doing. Pay special attention to be and –ing. Step3.Presentation

The students will complete some questions about the present progressive: 1.

What is he doing?

He is singing. 2.

What is the baby doing? He is eating an apple. 3.

What is he doing? He is playing computer games. 4.

What are they doing? They are dancing. Summerise:be+V-ing Step4.Presentation The students will watch the cartoon in activity2. Task1.Ttell what the conversation about. Step5.Practice

The students will finish the questions below: Task2.Complete the questions about the conversation. 1.

What are the birds doing? They are singing and flying away. 2.

What are the ducks doing? They are eating sandwiches. Step6. Consolidation

Read the content again.
