课题：Unit 8 Hobbies (Writing) 教学目标：

1．

指导学生运用不同的句式来表达同一意思的内容，完成有关本课主题的写作------爱好，从而达到文章句式多变，语言生动而不枯燥的目的。

2．

通过讨论、分享和写作，运用所学的语言围绕一定范围的内容进行小组写作和写作评价。

3．

启发学生热爱生活、培养发展积极健康的爱好,。

教学重点、难点: 1．

能用两种或以上的方式表达同一种爱好；并学会对过去和现在的爱好进行对比。 2．

能以问题方式列写作提纲，介绍自己或者身边熟悉的人的爱好。 教学步骤：

Step 1: Brainstorm

1．

Different hobbies.

2．

Catching the thief. 3．

What is hobby and why we should have hobbies.

Step 2: Guessing game.

1. Have the students guess what hobby someone has, guiding them to use the sentence patterns below: 

like to do something 

enjoy doing something 

somebody’s hobby is doing something



love to do something At the same time, ask the students to compare the hobby someone has now with the one he/she had in the past, using “used to do something”. 2. Conclusion

Step 3: Practice

1.

Writing task 1: Rewrite the sentences about people’s hobbies, using different sentence patterns. 2.

Speaking task: Make a dialogue to ask and answer about Nana’s hobby. Tell the students that we can ask or write about hobbies in details. 3.

Writing task 2: Divide the students into groups and have them write an article about someone else’s hobby.

Step 4: Presentation and evaluation

1.

Ask one group to present their article. 2.

Make some comments on the article and conclude what a good article should be. 3.

Have the students help check and correct the article shown on blackboard. 4.

Have the students check and correct their articles to make them better. 5.

Have all groups make evaluation of their articles. 6.

Tell the students to hand in their articles after class. 7.

Conclude what the students have learnt in this lesson.

Step 5: Homework

1. Ask your parents what they used to do when they were children. Then write them down on Book A. 2. Write a short article about your own hobby. It should be 60---80 words.
