Step one: Warming up

1. Greetings to Uncle John.

T: Today we a new friend, Uncle John.

Do you know this word “Uncle”? Mother’s brother or father’s brother, we call him “Uncle”.

Can you say “Hello” to Uncle John?

Step two: Presentation & Practice

2. At a toy shop

(1)T: Uncle John is in a toy shop. What does he buy? Please listen and tick.

(2)T: Look, the presents are in the box. Guess! What’s this? What’s that? Work in pairs, please.

3. At Mike’s home

(1)What is Uncle John doing now? Please watch and answer.

T: Uncle John is giving presents to the children. Because New Year is coming.

(2)How do you know that? Read the story and find key sentences.

T: Today, we go to many places with Uncle John. We go to the toy shop and learn how to use “What’s this?” and “What’s that?”. We go to Mike’s house, and learn how to give presents and receive presents. We go to Mike’s New Year party, and we know it’s happy to give wishes to each other! OK, boys and girls. Where ever you are, do remember give your love to others! Every day is a holiday.
