故事阅读教学能提供多方面的语言训练活动。学生为了获知故事内容,他们会集中去捕捉故事的大意和细节,会尽力去推断和猜测,这无形中培养了学生的理解能力和根据语境猜词的能力。另外阅读之后再把它讲出来也是培养学生口语表达能力的过程;对故事进行想象,改编和表演有利于培养学生的创新能力和语言的运用能力。

1. 复习本单元句型和单词。
2. 能正确理解故事的主要内容。
3. 能够背诵或复述课文。
方法与过程
1. 让学生在图片、声音、动作的媒介下融入到故事情境当中,使学生对故事内容有进一步的理解和感悟。
2. 通过任务分工、小组学习、反馈交流、整体阅读等各种语言学习活动,促进学生运用学过的语言进行表达。
3. 结合学生的能力,发挥他们的想象,为故事编续集。
教学建议:阅读的形式多种多样,可以通过不同的方式方法进行操练,如可以让学生先自己独立进行阅读,给他一个思考的空间,然后老师再加以引导教授新的单词,并带读,指导语速语调等。
情感态度、价值观:领悟“丑小鸭”不懈追求、努力进取的精神;感受在逆境中成功的喜悦。
民族精神教育:教育学生树立生活目标,在自信、自强、自立中成长,懂得通过拼搏,他们也可以变成“白天鹅”,也可以像丑小鸭一样实现心中的梦想。
生命教育:引导学生充分体验丑小鸭经历如此磨难之后最终变成白天鹅获得成功的激动与喜悦。

V. 教学过程
一、Pre-task preparation Teach the new word: duckling, swan
1.Sing a song: Old MacDonald has a farm 【设计说明:这首歌曲和动物有关,既能集中学生的注意力,又可以自然地引出本课所学的单词。】
2.Say some riddles to elicit the words duck, duckling and swan.
e.g., They’re farm animals. They can walk and swim. They like eating corn and fish. They have wings but they can’t fly high. What animals are they?(They’re ducks.) 【设计说明:谜语可以激发学生的学习兴趣。】
3.Show the flashcards for duck, duckling and swan and have the students read and spell the words. 二、While-task procedure (一)Ask and answer the questions Put the wall pictures on the blackboard. Point to each picture and ask the students some questions. Picture 1: What can you see in the picture? What colour is the duck? What colour are the eggs? Where are they? Picture 2: What can you see in the picture? Picture 3: How many eggs can you see in the nest? What colour is the big egg? What colour are the eggs? Picture 4: Where’s the yellow duck sitting? 【设计说明:通过问答,使学生对故事有一个初步的了解,也培养了学生良好的观察能力。】
(二)Listen and read
1.Have the students read sentence by sentence after the recording. 【设计说明:整体感知课文,纠正不正确的语音语调,提高学生的朗读水平。】
2.Have the students read the story from picture 1 to 4 in pairs and underline the words or phrases they do not understand. 3.Explain the meaning of these words or phrases: make a nest, babies 4.Ask the students some questions to check their understanding. e.g., What season is it? What’s Mother Duck doing? How many eggs are there in the nest? 【设计说明:释疑,进一步帮助学生理解课文。】
(三)Retell the story Have the students retell the story using the key words. e.g., Picture1: spring, make a nest, three eggs Picture2: in the nest, three eggs, green, small Picture 3: four eggs, big, white Picture 4: Mother Duck, sit 【设计说明:借助关键词,复述课文,训练学生的英语口头表达能力。】
三、Post-task activity (一)Group work Have the students ask and answer questions about 1 to 4 in pairs. e.g., What season is it? How’s the weather? 【设计说明:通过对话练习,活跃课堂气氛,进一步提高学生的口头表达能力。】
(二)Role-play
Have some students role-play the story while the other students are reading the story. 【设计说明:让学生在角色表演中,体验语言,运用语言,并获得一种成功感。】
