The story tells about some animals visiting a school. Mr Hippo answers their inquiries and introduces the facilities of the school. In addition to reviewing the core words and sentences, students can also understand ,through pictures and contexts, new sentences: It’s time for lunch. I’m full. 二、

Teaching aims 1.

Review words: teacher’s office, library, playground, computer room, art room, music room Sentences: Where is the library? It’s on the first floor. Do you have a library? Yes, we do.

Warm-up 1.Who is quicker ?

Teacher flashes the words or phrases.Students say them. 2.Be a challenger

Show four pictures covered by veil,ask question about each picture. P1: Is this a music room ? P2: Is this a playground? P3: Is that a computer room? P4: Is that a teachers’office ? 二、

Presentation 1.

Teaching: lunch room

Show a picture about lunch room. Teacher asks: Is this a classroom? Ss: No, it isn’t. T: You are right. It’s a lunch room. Present lunch room,tell students its meaning. 2.

Teaching I’m hungry Show the picture of Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf. Teacher acts as Big Big Wolf ,feels his belly and says: I am hungry. Lead students to say this sentence. 3.

Teaching I’m full Show the Garfield with a round belly lying on the ground. Teacher pretends to be Garfield with a thumb up: I’m full. Lead students to say I’m full. 4.

Teaching It’s time for lunch. Show the sentence, lead students to read several times and tell the

meaning. T: Look. It’s 12:00 . It’s time for lunch. 5.

Exrcise 1: Read and match. Exercise 2: Listen and tick or cross 6.

Teacher points to the illustration and introduces. T: Zoom and Zip are at school. The school is very beautifu l. But we can’t find Zoom now. Where is Zoom?

Play the tape. Students listen and find out where Zoom is. After that, students answer. 三、
