二.教学背景分析
本课选自北师大版《小学英语》四年级上册Unit 4的第二课时,是承接第一课时故事教学的词汇,会话结合的教学课。本单元内容围绕“日常行为”展开话题,主要学习日常生活中一些常见的处所与动作单词以及“正在做某事”的问答法。第一课时通过故事学习,学生初步掌握了房间名称living room、bedroom、bathroom、kitchen及动作sleeping 、washing、cooking的意思及读音;明白了交际用语What is he/she doing?
He/She is …的含义。本课时内容更加贴近学生的实际生活,在进一步理解和掌握第一课时故事中出现的单词和交际语的基础上,扩充了如“喝水、画画”等动词的现在分词,并要求学生能进一步理解和应用交际用语“What
is he/she doing? He/She is ……”,为本单元以后四个课时中学生学习“正在做某事”各个人称的表达方式打下基础并扩充词汇,同时帮助学生在理解、实际运用对话和阅读小故事中打下语言基础。 三.教学时间

回忆Bobby家有什么房间,他得家人分别在干什么?以此复习巩固各房间的说法和动名词sleeping,washing,cooking.温故知新,用故事情境对话引出相关新知识,降低了学习难度,同时预设了新单词应用情景。
