Descoription of the class: Grade 4 primary pupils with a class of 34 pupils

Time Duration: 40 minutes

Teaching objectives: By the end of the lesson pupils should be able to

Today is pit`s birthday. Warning:no water! Mouse and snake. A birthday cake. Quick, Let`s run into the house.

Teaching steps :

Step one : warm-up

1.Greetings

T:When is your birthday?

S: In June.

Step two : Read the story and answer questions

1. How many children are there in the story?

2. Who(谁) are they?

3.What do you know from the story? (从故事中你知道了什么?) Step three : learning the new content.

1、learning words :mouse snake

Who can read them? (学生认读单词,教师引导学生注意单词发音。)

2. Teaching students

Today is pit`s birthday.(贴月份牌自然的引出要学习的句子) Warning:no water!

Abracadabra,mouse and snake ,1,2,3,a birthday cake.(学生拿魔棒上讲台表演,增加他们学习英语的积极性。)

What a lovely cake!

(用实物更能加深对句子的巩固)

Quick, Let`s run into the house.(贴房子的图片)

3.We study the story by listening to cassettes.
